Vineyard Info:
Our ‘Willamette Valley’ cuvée features fruit grown on select vineyard sites in Yamhill County. The wines benefit from the same integrity in the winemaking process as our estate wines. The sites are farmed sustainably and managed to very low yields. It is not fined or filtered. We age the wines in the same French oak barrels used in our estate bottling, however the percentage of new oak is intentionally lower. This cuvée consists of wine made from the following vineyards: Zena Crown, Beaux Frères, Gran Moraine, Amalie Robert, and Upper Terrace.
Ratings & Reviews
93 Points - Wine Spectator Magazine:
"Sleek and silky, with pretty cherry and mineral flavors that glide seamlessly through the long, vivid finish. This has depth, deft balance and welcome restraint. Drink now through 2017."—H.S. (Aug 3, 2011)
91 Points - Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar:
"Vivid red. Sexy, expressive aromas of black raspberry, rose, Asian spices and mocha, with a hint of anise. Sappy and expansive on entry, then tighter in the mid-palate, offering sweet red and dark berry flavors and notes of spicecake and candied flowers. Puts on weight with air and finishes with very good focus, length and subtle smokiness. This drinks very well right now. " - Josh
