Made from a blend of: 62% Zinfandel, 25% Syrah, 8% Petite Syrah, 5% Graciano. Total production of 284 cases.
This is the second vintage of our proprietary red blend, Vine Starr. Vine Starr Brockway was born in 1801 and was
the great-great-great-great-great-great grand uncle of Chris Brockway the winemaker. When we saw his name we
thought that it couldn’t be more appropriate.
What Does It Taste Like?
The blend is based on the spicy zinfandel fruit of Arrowhead Mountain
Vineyard, it is rounded out with the minerality and depth of Syrah, the Petite Sirah adds velvety tannins, and color,
and the Graciano lends to the perfumed base. This wine is balanced and food friendly and very much enjoyable on
its own as well.
