Our Petite Sirah comes from a single vineyard located just north of Calistoga. The Petite Sirah vines are 27 year old head trained vines that sit on one acre and they offer up dark, rich, concentrated fruit. The aromas are ripe black currents with hints of sweet vanilla. The palate has a soft entry with flavors of dark plum and currents that leads to a long supple finish.
Ratings & Reviews
92 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine (2007 vintage):
"A very good, even noble Petite Sirah whose classic structure expresses the variety’s personality in an elegant way. Tannic and dry, it’s a big, fruity wine, with notes of blackberries, coffee, dark chocolate and tar. Now–2013. " — S.H. (10/1/2010)
92 Points - Wine Spectator Magazine (2006 vintage):"Dark, deep and dense, this Petite features both burly and rustic tannins, with a very sophisticated range of flavors—cassis, licorice, huckleberry, violet, tobacco and blackberry jam. Drink now through 2014. 265 cases made. –MW (Oct 31, 2009)
