About This Wine:

Harvest:
Our Atalayas Vineyard in Casablanca is located on slopes facing different directions, which gives a great complexity once all the different parcels have been assembled into the final blend. The 2007 season required repeated combing of the vineyards. We had to divide the vineyard into sectors of differentiated maturity and we started to harvest first in riper sectors while waiting for the remaining sectors to continue ripening. Using effective canopy management and by conducting two green harvests, we avoided any problems with botrytis, and were able to wait until May the 4th to pick the last grapes.  Harvested by hand in small cases of 12 kg and transported in refrigerated trucks to Casa Lapostolle Winery in Colchagua.

Vinification:
• 88% of the must was pressed directly without skin contact.
• 85% of the must was barrel fermented and aged for 10 months in new French
oak barrels (65%) and in used barrels (20%) with lees stirring twice
a month.
• 15% went through fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
• Malolactic fermentation: 18%.
• Bottled in May, 2008; with a total production of 11.620 cases made
(12*750cc).

Color: Bright pale golden yellow with clean light lime notes.
Nose: Intense fruit aromas mainly sweet citric style such as mandarin and tangerine, with elegant sweet touches of spices and white flowers.
MOUTH: Elegant and concentrated. The mouth attack is rich and with a light creaminess, but with a crisp and fresh acidity at the mid palate. Long and pleasant at the finish with more sweet citric aromas.
Service and Food Pairing: Enjoy with fresh and sophisticated fish preparations and sea food in general. Serve at 13°C.
