Ratings & Reviews
91 Points, Rank #56 Top 100 Wines of 2010 & "SMART BUYS" - Wine Spectator Magazine:"Rock-solid, with dark currant, fig and blackberry fruit flavors supported by briar, licorice snap and coffee notes. The long, muscular finish should soften with moderate cellaring. Drink now through 2012. 83,500 cases made." –JM (4/30/2010)
90+ Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:"The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Marques de Casa Concha spent 14 months in French oak. Alluring aromas of cedar, lavender, blackcurrant and blackberry are followed by a plush, layered, succulent wine with gobs of black fruit, ripe tannin, and 2-3 years of aging potential. It is a great value.
Concha y Toro is Chile’s largest winery in volume and, remarkably given its size, one of its finest in overall quality. However, the entry level Casillero del Diablo range had more misses than hits. The Trio Series is made by one of Chile’s most renowned winemakers, Ignacio Recabarren, who is also responsible for the other-worldly Terrunyo Carmenere Carmin de Peumo. The Trio wines rank with the greatest wine bargains on the planet." - Jay Miller (4/2009)
90 Points - Wine & Spirits Magazine:"This wine's fine tannic structure effortlessly supports the weight of its ripeness, expressed in voluptuous fig and currant flavors. It's an addictive balance, each sip asking for another." (6/2010)
