Grape: Aglianico 100%

Enologo: Giampaolo Chiettini e Fabrizio Piccin

The grapes comes from the vineyards of four different Vulture areas. The 2006 vintage fermentation has been going on for 10 days with temperature under control, with soft crushing and délestage intending to take out from the grape floral hints and freshness. 50% of the wine ageing in Slavonian oak barrels for 12 months, the other 50% stay in steel. Ideal for barbecue!

"Good bright ruby-red. Balsamic herbs, clove, and chocolate-covered cherries on the nose. Sweet and supple on entry, then rich and layered in the middle, with herbal dark cherry and sweet spice flavors given definition by lively acidity. Finishes long but much too oaky, with a restrained sweetness; yet another very tannic wine from this producer." - Ian D'Agata (Mar/Apr '11)
