The 2007 Barbera d’Asti Ca’ di Pian offers up plums, dark cherries, herbs and flowers on a rich, mid-weight frame, revealing plenty of length and fine overall balance. The bright, focused acidity of Barbera from Asti comes through on the finish, and the wine is best enjoyed at the dinner table. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2015.

This is a highly successful set of new releases from La Spinetta. The wines show great balance and class across the board.
