Notes from the Winemaker:

The Lagrein varietal is indigenous to Trentino and has been cultivated in the hillside vineyards of Sorni and Pressano for  many decades. This wine is made using grapes harvested from vines that are 15–20 years of age. The wine spends 2 months in oak and 3–4 months in bottle before release.

This wine is a ruby red color with violet tones when young, turning to light garnet when mature. Spicy blackberry and  cherry notes on the nose that  on the palate develop into deep berry fruit fl avors accented by hints of soft leather, tobacco and mint. Rich, soft and medium-bodied. Match with grilled meats and soft cheeses.
