Tasting Notes:

Salmariano is named after a castle built in the 1100's bordering the Marotti Campi's vineyards in Sant' Amico of Morro d' Alba. This wine embodies the full strength of the Mediterranean sun and the hills of Marche. Elegant, with aromas of vanilla, fruit and field flowers, this wine pairs well with hearty pasta and rice dishes, fish, white meats and cheeses

The Marotti Campi Farm is located in the vicinity of Morro d’Alba where the soil is very fertile and has been historically dedicated to wine-growing. The Marotti Campi family has owned land here for more than a century, their 52 hectares now primarily used for production of wine.

APPELATION: Verdicchio dei Calstelli di Jesi D.O.C.
VARIETALS: 100 % Verdicchio
VINIFICATION: Maceration of the skins and juice at low temperatures.
VINEYARD: Mixed soil, tendency towards loose.
AGING: Aged in stainless steel vats, and a small portion in small seasoned wooden barrels, then bottled after a period of time on the lees.
