Notes from the Winemaker:
Napa Angel 2006 is a Cabernet Sauvignon based wine. Soils are alluvial loam with a small proportion of clay, creating medium-to-low water holding capacity conditions that stress the vines, concentrating the fruit characteristics. The mild climate resulting from the proximity of the Pacific Ocean contributes fresh, fruity flavors. Grapes are hand-picked with yields of 3.5 tons per acre.
Tasting Notes:Lively and generous deep garnet red color. Well-structured, rounded and rich, this wine provides a robust mouth-filling sensation. The wine is layered with red berry fruitiness, cedar, spice, and hints of very subtle and delicate smokiness. Long in the mid-palate with rich and smooth tannins. A fruit forward and rich wine.

92 Points & "Cellar Selection" - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"From Chilean winemaker Aurelio Montes comes this Cab of considerable depth and power. It shows well-developed blackberry and cassis flavors. The tannins are significant. Give it until 2011 to begin to open, and it should drink well through 2014. Cellar Selection." —S.H. (3/1/2010)
