Poured this beer into a tulip glass. Pale yellow in color, had a nice head and light lacing that stuck all the way down the glass.
The nose had hints of pine cone, cloves, vanilla and the belgian yeast really shines through.
The mid palate is light, with citrus notes. The finish was quite creamy, definitely attribute this to the belgian yeast used. There is some hops on the finish that add a nice dry crispness that bait you into taking another sip.
Overall, I thought this was a very nice beer. Pleasant on the nose, easy to drink and very well balanced. Never heard of Ommegang before I tried this beer. Definitely be looking for more from these guys in the months to come.
