"Bright ruby-red. Riper, wilder aromas of black raspberry, meat, dark chocolate and spices. Distinctly sweeter and silkier than the basic merlot, with well-integrated acidity contributing to an impression of energy. This spreads out nicely to coat the palate and finishes with sweeter tannins and greater length than the basic bottling." -May/June 2007
