Crème brulée and ripe apples are the aromatic themes of this heady young Chardonnay, and its nose sets the stage for the flavors that follow. The wine is fairly full-bodied and shows an extra bit of flesh on its bones, and its mix of ripeness and very obvious oak steers it away from its more elegant cousins. It will do best as a partner to dishes such as richly sauced salmon and poultry, and, while it will not fade away any time soon, there is nothing holding it back now.
