About This Beer:
Few flavors complement each other as well as those of chocolate and raspberry. The rich and roasted character of chocolate is enhanced by the sweet and tart nature of raspberries, and showcasing this union was the focus behind Unity Stout. Pure raspberries and roasted cacao nibs were added to a silky smooth oak milk stout to create this truly complex and flavorful beer. - 9.5% ABV | 40 IBU

While Hoppy Table Beer was inspired by the Belgian tradition of low-ABV, easily drinkable beers, it still occupies a hop-forward spot all its own. Brewed with our 2-row malt blend, Maris Otter malt, and oats, the beer is then spiced with a subtle addition of coriander. We ferment it with our house yeast for classic Belgian citrus aromas. Hoppy Table Beer is hopped with Chinook, Cascade, Comet, and Azacca hops, then dry hopped with more Comet and Azacca. A mildly hoppy aroma full of grapefruit springs from this straw-colored, light-bodied ale. Flavors of pine and stone fruit balance the beer’s clean, slightly bitter finish.

Hermitage Brewing Co. Single HOP Series "Equinox" IPA (22oz)
Hermitage Brewing Co. Single HOP Series "Equinox" IPA (22oz)
Our Price: $7.04

Equinox comes to us out of Hop Union’s Hop Breeding program in the Pacific Northwest. Our initial impression is that it reminds us of some of our favorite American varieties, with a lot of citrus and tropical fruit underscored by a pleasant herbal character. The citrus is brighter in this one, more lemon-lime than orange or grapefruit. The bitterness is present but not harsh, imparting a slightly resinous, pine-like flavor. The finish is also bright and cooling with a touch of spice. I got the impression of mint, but the growers notes actually reference green apple and green pepper.

Beret is as artistic as those who wear its namesake cap. Our brewers developed a silky, full-bodied wheat ale which we began fermenting with a Belgian-style witbier yeast strain. To finish the fermentation, we added our collection of barnyard bacteria, intended to slowly sour the ale, bringing out a slight funk and refreshing piquancy. Finally, a small dose of pureed raspberries were added for just a hint of fruity tannins, putting the berry in Beret.

About This Beer:

This beer pairs two “blancs”: California-grown Muscat Blanc grapes and German Hallertau Blanc hops. Blended together in wine barrels and large oak foudres, White Label emerges from the casks as a unique hybrid of beer and wine. The combination of white grapes and tropical-aroma hops creates a luscious nose of ripe apricot, lychee and lemongrass. Finished with a touch of coriander, this complex sipper is a perfect pairing for dishes like mussels steamed in coconut curry, fresh pad thai, and macadamia crusted halibut.
Farm to Barrel

Our Farm to Barrel beers focus on the eons-old tradition of aging beers in oak barrels. This American wild ale was aged in used wine casks with our house “Dogpatch” sour culture, a cocktail of wild Belgian and American yeasts, including San Francisco sourdough starter. The yeasts slowly morph the beer from a traditional ale into something wild, creating a mild acidic bite as well as pulling oak and vanilla flavors from the barrel. After maturing, the barrels are blended together—creating a vinous, delicate beer that captures the essence of a particular harvest. Farm to Barrel Beers are alive in the bottle, and will continue to mature gracefully for several years.
