91 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"At almost five years of age, this Cab still tastes young and fruity. It’s incredibly dense with cherry pie, mocha and buttered cinnamon-toast flavors—distinctly New World—yet balanced with fine acidity and complex, ripe tannins. Drink it now with a great steak, simply prepared, with a brown butter sauce." — S.H. (5/1/2013)

91 Points - Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar:
"Glass-staining purple. An expressive, heady bouquet gives out candied red fruits, potpourri and Asian spices, with a smoky nuance gaining power in the glass. Rich but lively, offering vibrant raspberry and cherry-cola flavors and notes of allspice and star anise. Sweet and silky on a finish that keeps on with impressive tenacity and spiciness. This wine always delivers outstanding value." - Josh Raynolds (July 2012)

90 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"Blended of 77% Shiraz, 16% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Merlot, Tait’s 2010 The Ballbuster gives a very deep garnet purple color and pronounced notes of spiced blackberries, blueberry pie filling and stewed plums with hints of freshly cracked black pepper and fenugreek. Very full bodied and richly fruited, it has a good line of crisp acidity lending lift and a medium to firm level of velvety tannins, finishing long and peppery. Drink it now to 2016." - Lisa Perrotti-Brown (Feb 2012)

91 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"Giacomo Neri almost always delivers fireworks with each new release of his Brunello. This 2008 is slightly less sparkly, although it does show even consistency and excellent balance. Concentrated cherry and blackberry fruit give way to cola, spice and tobacco. The finish is firmly structured and acidic." — M.L. (5/1/2013)

90 Points - James Suckling:
"This is firm and slightly chewy like many 2008s but there's a lovely sweet fruit at the finish. Light jam and chocolate character. Good finish. Better in 2014." (Feb 2013)

93~96 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The estate’s 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Reserve is endowed with serious power and depth. Layers of blue and black fruit, smoke, tobacco and licorice are woven together beautifully. Vivid yet rich and resonant, the 2010 stands out for its exceptional purity and overall harmony. Here, too, the oak needs time to integrate, but tha shouldn’t be an issue, as readers should not plan on opening bottles anytime soon. A creamy, layered finish laced with expressive blue and black fruits rounds things out in style. Anticipated maturity: 2018-2032.

I was quite taken with these new and upcoming releases from Todd Anderson and his team headed by Assistant Winemaker Robert Hunt. A number of these wines showed quite a bit better than they did last year. The Cabernet Sauvignon-based Eloge and the Cabernets Sauvignons are the highlights among the reds. Sadly, long-time winemaker Mac Sawyer passed away earlier this year, something that was quite a shock, as he seemed fine just the last time I saw him just a few months prior. There is one change to the range in that the wine previously known as the Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon is now called Signature. Either way, the 2009 and 2010 are both superb." - Antonio Galloni (Dec 2012)

Tasting Notes from the Winemaker:
Our premiere vintage of Beaulieu Vineyard Beaurouge showcases winemaking artistry in the blending of grape varietals and appellations to make a layered, fruit-forward wine. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon form the core, with opulent blackberry, plum and chocolate–cherry truffle expression. The Merlot fills out the midpalate with plush texture, while Cabernet Sauvignon provides structure. Zinfandel, with its dash of black pepper, and Syrah add deep red-fruit notes and spice. Petite Sirah, Touriga, and Mourvèdre deepen the wine’s inky color, while Carignane gives hints of strawberry, Grenache adds dark raspberry and bay leaf, and Sangiovese enlivens the wine with vibrant wild-cherry notes. A little splash of Petit Verdot completes the blend with a hint of violet.

Tasting Notes: The color is quite striking, with the brilliant red ruby hue hinting at the luscious fruit to come. The aromas are abundant with bright cherry, cranberry and brown spice, reminiscent of warm cinnamon toast topped with plum jam. On the palate, the bright cherry opens the show, then evolves into a lush, sweetly spiced plum pudding, coating the mouth with a velvety richness. The acidity is as vibrant as the color, lifting the medley of fruit to lavish heights and augmenting the spicy tones. The wine then develops an intense mineral note, adding yet another dimension, lending way to silky tannins and a lengthy finish that will leave you wanting more.

94 Points - Wine Spectator Magazine:
"Supple, slinky and opulent, with black olive, oatmeal and mace overtones to the tightly knit blackberry and plum fruit, getting spicier as the finish persists. Drink now through 2019. 605 cases made." —H.S.  (Oct 31, 2011)

94 Points - Wine & Spirits Magazine:
"Purple and spicy at first, with aromas of boysenberry and sassafras, this wine yields a mild gamey note with air - a marker, perhaps, of Les Collines, the vineyard contributing 95 percent of this wine. After a day, it takes on syrah's wilder side, smelling of kid leather and smoked tomoato. the savory elements mingling with sweet black fig for a wine of uncommon sensuality, showing the generous warmth of Walla Walla sunshine in a tight frame. Ideal with a smoked pork chop."

92 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2009 Syrah Walla Walla Valley was sourced mostly from the Les Collines Vineyard. A brooding bouquet offers up notes of smoked meat, game, lavender, pepper, plum, and blueberry. On the palate it reveals a sense of elegance, excellent grip and volume, and enough stuffing to evolve for 2-3 years. It will provide optimum drinking from 2013 to 2024.

Gramercy Cellars was started by Master Sommelier Greg Harrington in 2005. As these wines attest, he is not resting on his laurels."

92 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"A very firm and well-structured expression of pure Walla Walla Syrah. There is a core of blueberry and blackberry fruit, amply wrapped in sweetly toasty, smoky oak (despite very little new barrel usage). It finishes clean with the characteristic earthy foundation of Walla Walla Syrah, and a streak of rock and licorice."
