Allen Meadows' Burghound:
A moderately ripe nose of pepper and wild dark berries with warm earth traces leads to round, generous and reasonably complex flavors that are a bit on the grapey side, all wrapped in an acceptably long finish. This is easy to like and could already be enjoyed though it will reward a year or two of bottle age. Note that an hour of air helped considerably as there was noticeable gas upon opening the bottle. - (Apr 15, 2013)

"Brut Milledì is an elegant sparkling wine made from Chardonnay. It offers aromas of yellow spring flowers and crisp zesty citrus flavors. This has nice length, and finishes on an almond note." - KO (12/1/2013)

92 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (2011 Vintage):
"Made by the Italian duo of Giovanni and Folonari Tenute, the 2011 Saggi offers beautiful notes of spice box, cedar, licorice, dried herbs and assorted black cherry and dark currant styled fruit to go with a medium to full-bodied, focused and layered feel on the palate. A blend of 43% Sangiovese, 42% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Syrah, this superb blend has solid concentration (especially in the vintage), notable purity of fruit, and present, yet ripe and nicely integrated tannic grip that comes through on the finish. Give it another year or three and drink bottles through 2023." - Jeb Dunnuck (Jun 2014)

94 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (2011 Vintage):
Made by Randy Dunn, of Dunn Vineyards, and a blend of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Feather is up there with the top Bordeaux varieties of the vintage. Loaded with notions of dark fruits, chocolate, mineral, coffee bean and scorched earth, this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, beautiful purity of fruit and a voluptuous texture that only partially conceals edgy, yet ripe, tannin. It has the fruit to be enjoyable now, but will be better in another year or three, and evolve nicely for 12 to 15 years or more. " - Jeb Dunnuck (Jun 2014)

97 Points - James Suckling:
"The best ever from this highly esteemed estate shows Chile’s carménère can be complex and reserved. Lots of violet and granite character. Full and seamless in texture, it’s made mostly from biodynamically grown carménère." - (July 22th, 2014)

94 Points - Wine Spectator: Rank #42 on Top 100 Wines of 2014
"Big and rich, this red is filled with powerful flavors of blackberry, dark currant, black olive and dark chocolate that are built on an ironclad frame. Notes of cocoa powder and cream chime in as well, and the muscular finish lingers with hints of savory herb. Carmenère, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Best from 2014 through 2022. 2,000 cases imported." – KM (Mar 31, 2014)

"Bright, with cherry, strawberry and floral aromas and flavors, this is backed by a firm yet integrated underlying structure. Beautifully poised for development, so hands off for now. Juicy and long, delivering a lingering aftertaste of cherry, spice and mineral. Best from 2015 through 2027. 1,420 cases made." – BS (Feb 28, 2014)

"Rich, with a base note of tarry smoke, remaining elegant and medium-bodied overall, showing mouthwatering acidity and fine integration. Dried mint and thyme aromatics lace the dried strawberry and cherry fruit, offset with star anise and beef bouillon details. Offers a lightly chewy finish. Drink now through 2024." - AN (10/11/2014)014)

90 Points - Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar:
"(100% sauvignon blanc; this is the only Gaja white wine that does not go through malolactic fermentation): Bright yellow. Aromas of pineapple candy and marzipan. Round, fine-grained and concentrated, with harmonious acidity giving good shape to its pineapple and fresh herb flavors. Really dusts the palate on the finish. No shortage of thrust in spite of the hot year." - Stephen Tanzer (Nov/Dec 2013)

93 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"Made by the Long Shadow's manager, Gilles Nicault, the 2010 Chester Kidder is a smoking blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Petit Verdot. Pure, voluptuous and rich, with fantastic blackberry fruit, crushed rock like minerality, lead pencil and graphite, it's a serious, age worthy red that will evolve gracefully for 10 to 12 years or more." - Jeb Dunnuck (Jun 2014)

94 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"A beautiful wine: the subtle wood aging points up the rich pear and apricot fruit. It has richness and a fine balance between fruit, structure and the elegant acidity that lifts the wine. It’s still young and will be best after at least 4–5 years of aging." - Roger Voss (9/1/13)
