Notes from the Winemaker:100% Malbec, hand-selected from Windrow, McClellan Estate and Minnick Vineyards, three hillside sites in the Walla Walla Valley appellation. Harvest conditions were ideal. Deep purple, magenta color with an assertive scent of passion fruit, blueberry pie and hints of floral and sweet spice. Medium weight, bright body with moderate tannin. Ripe blueberry and slightly drying finish. Barrel aged in fine Hungarian Oak to accentuate aromatics and compliment the silky mouth feel of the wine. I predict at least three to four years of enjoyable cellar life.

90 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:"This pure Malbec is a blueberry pie wine right down to its bones, with refreshing acidity and some steely tannins right behind. It also has a lovely floral note that comes out strongly with some hours of breathing." — P.G. (9/1/2010)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - 92+ Points (2005 vintage):"Seven Hills’ 2005 Malbec owes far more to Mendoza than Bordeaux. A blend from three sites including some estate fruit, this 100% Malbec from young vines was aged in Hungarian oak. Dark ruby colored, it offers a delightfully exotic perfume of spice box, leather, clove, crushed violets, and wild raspberries. Supple on the palate, this medium-bodied effort has excellent balance and a 45+ second finish. Drink this quality Malbec now through 2020."
