Notes from the Winemaker:

Our Talbott Chardonnay, Kali Hart is crafted to be bright and appealing upon release, with the lush, cool-climate fruit purity that the Monterey County AVA is known for. In  keeping with the Talbott style, the wine also has restrained oak and excellent acid, overlaid by richness of flavor and a  pleasing mouthfeel. Kali Hart Chardonnay is named after Robb Talbott’s youngest daughter.

100% all estate grown Chardonnay. Fabulous everyday wine, refreshing, lively, medium bodied with beautiful fruit character. 90% Stainless Steel aged along with 10% French Oak.

Ratings & Reviews:

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (2008 vintage):
"Take, for example, the 2008 Chardonnay Kali Hart. It displays loads of poached pear, pineapple, and honey in an impressively perfumed bouquet. In the mouth, it is soft, fleshy, and medium-bodied, with just enough acidity to give it balance. It is a fruity, consumer-friendly style of Chardonnay to drink over the next year.

This is the most impressive lineup of wines I have seen from Talbott in a number of years. Their less expensive second label is a noteworthy value." - Robert Parker (8/2010)

90 Points & " EDITOR'S CHOICE" - Wine Enthusiast Magazine (2007 vintage):
"This is a sort of second tier wine from Talbott. It’s a strongly flavored Chardonnay and extremely ripe, with pineapple jam, apricot-infused crème brûlée and sweet vanilla-butterscotch flavors. But for all the richness, it’s crisp and bone dry."  - S.H.  (5/1/2009)

Wine Spectator Magazine (2007 vintage):
"Rich full bodied with a broad range of complex flavors, ranging from grapefruit and citrus, to fig and honeysuckle, even a dash of pineapple. Drink now." -JL

Beverage Dynamics - 4+ out of 5 Stars - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED (2007 vintage):
"Smooth, easy; light on the oak with hints of ripe pear and balanced acidity." -W. Blake
