You are here: Home > Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines

This year, Wine Spectator editors reviewed more than 17,000 wines from around the world in blind tastings. Out of the more than 17,000 wines,  they had the difficult task of selecting only a mere 100 for their annual list. They select the wines based on four criteria: quality, value, availability, and what they call "excitement."

While many wines have sold out (although we're likely to have the next available vintage) and a few have not yet been released by the wineries, we  have some great assortment of currently available wines of the year. So build your cellar or give a high quality gift; taste and purchase these TOP 100 wines from Wine Spectator before they are gone. Quantities are limited.

The 2007 Vintage was Rank #89 - Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines of 2009

90-93 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"A blend of equal parts Grenache and Syrah, the 2009 Perrin et Fils Cotes du Rhone Villages Vinsobres Les Cornuds reveals abundant aromas of crushed rocks, spring flowers and blue as well as black fruits in its darker, more cool climate style. It is completely different from the Grenache-dominated wines from the warmer climates of Cairanne, Rasteau, Vacqueyras or Gigondas. The impressive, deep, rich Vinsobres Les Cornuds comes from high elevation (400 feet) vineyards, and should easily age for 10 years." —Robert Parker (Oct 2010)

91 Points & "Smart Buy" - Wine Spectator Magazine:

"Still tightly wound, with an almost bracing violet note leading the way for dark plum and blackberry fruit, ending
with a flash of pastis on the finish, where a tangy iron edge holds sway. Should settle in nicely with modest cellaring. Drink now through 2016. 2,500 cases imported." —J.M. (Jan 31, 2011)

"Gorgeous from the start, delivering mulled spice, mocha, blueberry, black tea, plum sauce and warm currant confiture aromas and flavors all woven together, carried by a long spice- and graphite-filled finish. This has weight, but stays driven thanks to finely beaded acidity. A beauty. The best vintage yet for this wine. Malbec. Drink now through 2022. 275 cases made." –JM (Aug 31, 2011)

2003 was a great vintage for Roederer Estate. This, their top vintage wine, is very great, and the price is an absolute steal for this world class sparkler. It’s enormously rich in the strawberries from Pinot Noir and the limes from Chardonnay, while the toast and rich lees combine for a perfect champagne-style smokiness. And so smooth, it's like a kiss of silk. At the age of eight years, this wonderful wine is just getting started. S.H.  (12/15/2011)

"Crackling acidity sets up this dry, aromatic version, with layered flavors of lychee, fleur de sel, orange peel and smoke, joined by a hint of cantaloupe. Finely meshed, building in intensity toward the minerally finish, with lots of lingering white pepper notes. The L170 in small print in the lower left corner of the label distinguishes this from the otherwise identical label of the L17M. Drink now through 2024. 3,000 cases made." –AN (Oct 2011)
