94 Points & "Editor's Choice" - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"Very dry and tannic, as Petite Sirah should be. But unlike many “Pets,” it’s also balanced and elegant. The official alcohol
is only 13.5%, yet there’s not a trace of greenness. In fact, the wine, which has plenty of French oak, is quite rich in blackberry and black currant flavors. Really a superb example, a Petite Sirah for Cabernet fans. Should evolve interestingly for many years. Editors’ Choice." (9/2010)

There is no mistaking the density of the wine simply by swirling it in your glass. The black and violet hues cling to the glass, not only showing off the color but the viscosity, as well. The nose is a mixture of minerals and black fruit which is perfectly accented by the hints of sweet oak. The front palate lets you know that this wine has a long life ahead of it. Broad tannins sweep across your mouth like a dense fog enveloping the coastline. The fruit returns in the form of a black cherry bon-bon; rich and complex.

A 60/40 blend of our Petite Sirah and our Syrah from our vineyards on Dry Creek near Modesto. This wine is very smooth, with profound mouth feel, dark and rich. A great wine to drink alone or paired with grilled lamb, beef or pork. It pairs well with spicy foods because it produces a bold yet richness that produces a "harmonious" result with barbecued meats. May be aged 15+ years.
