Figueirasse Gris de Gris Rose 2009 (France)
Retail Price: $15.00
Artisan Wine Depot Price: $10.99
You Save $4.01

Made for summer and fresh seafood. A pale pink sunrise in the glass,
this rosé reminds of framboise, ripe blood peaches, fresh buttery pie
crust and cherry juice in its aromas. Very expressive! The mouth is a
wave of fresh flowers and pink fruits, with suggestions of rose water
and white pepper. Figueirasse makes its home near the Camargue delta
along the southern French coast, and its terroir is almost exclusively
sand. These unique soils give the wine both a bit of texture in the
mouth as well as a sea-kissed, mineral freshness. Orange zest and more
white pepper offer a lively kick to the finish. A very unique blend of
30% Cincault, 20% Grenache Gris, 40% Grenache Noir and 10% Grenache
Blanc.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate - 90 Points:
"The 2007 Seguret Tradition has a glorious nose of garrigue, pepper, lavender, and spices. Its dense purple, concentrated color is followed by medium body, admirable elegance and purity, and a round, generous, even opulent finish. This is a beauty to drink over the next 3-4 years. This excellent estate, which was purchased in 1998 by the McKinlay family and encompasses over 60 acres of relatively old vines, has proven over a short period of time to be one of the stars among all the Cotes du Rhone-Villages estates." -Robert Parker (10/2009)

Domaine de la Fouquette Cuvee "Rosee d'Aurore" Cotes de Provence 2009 (Provence, France)
Retail Price: $18.00
Artisan Wine Depot Price: $12.99

The gorgeous salmon hue entices the eye while the tropical fruit nose of pineapple, guava and grapefruit lures you in for a sip. On the palate the rose exudes generous flavor profiles of fresh-picked strawberries, candied watermelon and uncommonly good grapefruits and citrus notes. In my humble opinion, nothing is more appealing on a hot summer day than an enjoyable rose to refresh your palate and quench your thirst. This med-bodied rose with refreshing ripe fruit flavors, and balanced acidity, exemplifies what a good quality rose from Provence should be. For the price, you are getting the most for your money. -Christine Tran, Artisan Wine Depot's Sommelier
