92 Points - Antonio Galloni:
"Spicy and sharply focused on the highly aromatic nose, displaying fresh cherry and dark berry aromas and a suggestion of succulent flowers. Taut and energetic on the palate, offering bitter cherry and boysenberry flavors that are supported by a spine of juicy acidity. At once powerful and lively, showing firm closing thrust, harmonious tannins and lingering floral and spice notes.”

92 Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous Media:
"Vivid ruby. Aromas of fresh dark berries, candied violet and smoky minerals pick up a hint of allspice with air. Sweet and nicely concentrated, offering juicy boysenberry and blackberry flavors and a touch of licorice. Finishes sappy and smooth, showing excellent persistence, lingering spiciness and dusty tannins that sneak in slowly." - Josh Raynolds (Mar 2018)

91 Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous Media:
"Bright ruby-red. Lively, sharply focused red fruit and floral scents show excellent clarity and pick up a hint of smokiness as the wine opens up. Appealingly sweet and lithe in character, showing a seamless quality to the fresh raspberry, cherry and spicecake flavors. Gentle tannins shape a very long, incisive finish that strongly echoes the raspberry and spice notes. This is one serious "basic" Beaujolais for the money." - Josh Raynolds (Mar 2018)

95 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"From vines planted in 1926 that seldom produce as much as 20 hectoliters per hectare, Daniel Bouland's 2016 Morgon Delys Vieilles Vignes is another superb rendition of a cuvée that's routinely one of the region's most unsung qualitative pinnacles. The wine offers up a deep and incipiently complex bouquet of ripe black cherries, rich soil, iron filings, potpourri and elderberry. On the palate, it's full-bodied, deep and multidimensional, with immense unforced concentration and pitch-perfect balance, underpinned by velvety tannins and succulent acids. After the powerhouse 2015, the 2016 is exquisitely textural and elegant, but don't be fooled, it will see out its 15th birthday in style." - William Kelley (May 2018)

93-95) Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2014 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru is 20% whole cluster fruit matured in around 60% new oak. It has a very fragrant bouquet with blackberry and briary scents, nicely detailed and focused. The palate is medium-bodied with fine chalky tannin, well judged acidity and a harmonious, detailed finish that is a real treat. This is a sophisticated and compelling Clos Vougeot from Thibault Liger-Belair." - Neal Martin (Dec 2015)

88-90 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2015 Hautes Côtes de Nuits Clos de Prieuré comes from limestone and white marl soils that tends to ripen earlier than the others according to Thibault Liger-Belair. It offers a more austere and reserved bouquet at first, but soon opens with attractive red cherry and chalk dust aromas. The palate is energetic and sorbet-fresh on the entry, lively and brisk with a taut line of acidity, with the finish quite reserved in style but very focused and long in the mouth. Very fine." - Neal Martin (30th Dec 2016)

91-93 Points - Antonio Galloni:
"The 2012 Moulin-à-Vent Vieilles Vignes is a blend of fruit from 7 parcels, all planted mid-slope. Savory herbs, new leather, licorice and graphite all add complexity to the dark fruit. The style is deep, intense and explosive. This is another super-impressive showing from Thibault Liger-Belair." - Antonio Galloni, January 2014

92 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (2014 Vintage):
"Bright magenta. Exotic, highly perfumed aromas of ripe dark berries, blood orange, potpourri and spicecake, given urgency by a mineral flourish. Juicy and sharply focused, offering concentrated black raspberry, cherry compote and violet pastille flavors and a touch of allspice on the back half. Finishes smooth, sweet and very long, with sneaky tannins adding structure and gentle grip to the wine's plush fruit." - Josh Raynolds (Aug 2016)

Allen Meadows' Burghound:
A moderately ripe nose of pepper and wild dark berries with warm earth traces leads to round, generous and reasonably complex flavors that are a bit on the grapey side, all wrapped in an acceptably long finish. This is easy to like and could already be enjoyed though it will reward a year or two of bottle age. Note that an hour of air helped considerably as there was noticeable gas upon opening the bottle. - (Apr 15, 2013)
