94 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The
2007 Barbaresco Riserva Montestefano is another fabulous wine. It is
completely different than the Montefico, even though the vineyards are
literally next to each other. The Montestefano shows quite a bit more
fruit than the Montefico, with silky, polished tannins that convey an
impression of sensual elegance. Crushed flowers, mint, licorice and dark
red cherries are some of the notes that wrap around the deep finish.
This is a fabulous Montestefano. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2032." -
Antonio Galloni (Oct 2011)

CASE PRICE = $47.99 per bottle (add 12+ quantity to your basket) 93 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2007 Barbaresco Riserva Montefico is all about energy and sheer
power. The Montefico is quite virile, even in this vintage, with a
certain austerity in the tannin that will require time in bottle to
soften. Dark red fruit, leather, anise and spices are some of the notes
that wrap around the insistent, pointed finish. There is plenty of
nuance here, but not the early appeal of the year. This is a great
showing, but readers will need to be patient. Anticipated maturity:
2017- 2029." - Antonio Galloni (Oct 2011)

94 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2007 Barbaresco Riserva Asili is a huge wine. In some ways it
reminds me of the 2004 because of its silkiness, but the 2007 is a
richer wine with more weight, glycerin and body. Sweet cherries,
flowers, hard candy and spices are woven together beautifully through to
the plush, enveloping finish. Despite the power and richness there is
plenty of Asili character in the glass. Anticipated maturity:
2017-2032." - Antonio Galloni (Oct 2011)

90 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "Caviola’s
2009 Barbera d’Alba Brichet is a fabulous wine graced with layers of
expressive, plump fruit and an engaging, seductive personality. At first
rather extroverted, the Brichet turns increasingly more elegant on the
palate, until the lasting impression is one of endless silkiness and
textural finesse. This is all about the elusive elegance that is typical
of Piedmont’s finest reds. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2019." - Antonio
Galloni (Dec 2010)

"Pio
Cesare and the 2007 vintage marry beautifully to produce a layered,
opulent, textured, rich wine that is bursting with zesty red fruit,
sassy spice, leather and toasted espresso bean. What really sets this
wine apart is the dense smoothness of its texture. Save this bottle in
your cellar 10 years or more." —M.L. (9/1/2011)

93 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate: "The
2008 Roero Audinaggio is flat-out delicious; in fact it is one of the
finest wines I have tasted from Ca-Rossa. The bouquet alone is
beautiful. Sweet roses, flowers of all types, cherries and licorice
emerge from this silky, refined Nebbiolo. I find gorgeous mid-palate
sweetness and depth in an elegant, refined style that could easily be
mistaken for a Barbaresco from the famous Asili vineyard. This is a
fabulous effort from Ca- Rossa, and hopefully a sign of even greater
things to come. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2018." - Antonio Galloni (Dec
2010)

|

95 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
The estate’s 2007 Barolo Bricco Fiasco shows the radiant personality of
the vintage while maintaining considerable freshness. Fiasco is a
vineyard that typically presents firm tannins, but in 2007 the warmth of
the year has given the wine an extra dimension of plumpness to the
fruit that is quite welcome. This shows superb purity on the mid-palate,
where hints of smoke, tar, licorice and a host of other aromas and
flavors add complexity to the seamless fruit. A minerally, saline finish
rounds things out in style. This is a stunning Barolo from Azelia.
Anticipated maturity: 2015-2027.
