91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"A gorgeous Italian sparkler, the 2013 Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Prior Millesimato Brut delivers a level of sophistication that is rare to find in this pocket of northern Italy. Although this is a Brut expression (a style that usually tends to be subdued and neutral), this sparkler offers good richness and aromatic intensity with citrus and almond blossom." - Monica Larner (Dec 2014)

The ruby colour and intense shade give nice chromatic impressions. Well balanced and vinous perfumes spread into wild berries fruits. This multifaceted nose give an interesting fresh olfactory quality. The wine reflects the same sensations in the mouth: balanced acid-tannic taste exalts the freshness given by the carbon dioxide. The fresh and also acid persistence is counterbalanced by sweet sensations of the sugary residue.

91 Points - Antonio Galloni:
"Dark red cherries, spices, cloves, rose petals and mint all blossom in the glass as the 2011 Barbera d' Alba Piani shows off its personality. The fruit is open and expressive, with plenty of vintage 2011 radiance, yet there is also plenty of freshness and tension to balance the wine's more overt qualities. Sweet floral notes round out the finish." - Antonio Galloni (November 2014)

Giorgio Pelissero Nebbiolo Langhe DOC 2012 (Piedmont, Italy) - [AG 90-92]

90-92 Points - Antonio Galloni:
"The 2012 Langhe Nebbiolo is shaping up to be a stunner. Rich, powerful and intense, the 2012 punches well above its weight. Dark cherry, plum and spice notes flesh out on the finish. What a gorgeous, gorgeous wine. Savvy readers would do well to pick up the 2012, by the case. This is super intense for what it is." - Antonio Galloni (October 2013)

95 Points - Antonio Galloni:

"A beautifully, centered, polished wine the 2010 Barbaresco Vanotu impresses for its striking inner perfume and exceptional balance. In 2010, the Vanotu is impeccable and harmonious from the very first taste. Leather, licorice, mint and sweet spices resonate on the textured, inviting finish. The 2010 is unusually voluptuous for the year. Readers should give the 2010 another few years for the French oak to integrate. Giorgio Pelissero's wines have a way of coming together in bottle. I expect that will be the case here as well." - Antonio Galloni (October 2013)

95 Points - Antonioi Galloni:
"All of the very best attributes of the vintage and the Pelissero house style come through in the 2009 Long Now. A huge, rich wine, the Long Now bursts from the glass with dark fruit, mocha, grilled herbs and smoke. This voluptuous, striking wine is loaded with class through and through. Tar, licorice and smoke are layered into the deep, resonant finish." - Antonio Galloni (October 2012)

The pomace of the Chardonnay grapes that were fermented separately are immediately taken to the distillery while still soft and juicy. The alambic still uses the vacuum method. At the start of the distillation process the grappa has an alcohol content of 70-75%.

Aroma: Herbaceous varietal aromas, warm and inviting.
Taste: On the palate, it is full and round, with spicy notes that are accentuated in the long, lingering finish.
