Vineyard Seven and Eight
Vineyard Seven and Eight "7" Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 (Spring Mountain, Napa Valley, California) - Robert Parker [91 pts] - Wine Spectator [91 pts]
Retail Price: $75.00

91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The opaque purple 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits cassis, charcoal, graphite, and sweet tannins in an exuberant, opulent style that would please both Joe the plumber and the connoisseur. It is deep, fleshy, and best drunk over the next 10-15 years. None other than the well-known Luc Morlet makes the wines at this winery on Spring Mountain." -Robert Parker (12/2009)

Retail Price: $125.00

94+ Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The prodigious 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate looks terrific, with the most structure, minerality, and power of the two Cabernets, but beautiful blueberry and floral notes intermixed with camphor, creme de cassis, licorice, and forest floor. Full-bodied, with terrific texture, sweet tannin, and fabulous length and concentration, this is a wine to drink young or cellar for 25 more years. These are very impressive wines.None other than the well-known Luc Morlet makes the wines at this winery on Spring Mountain." -Robert Parker (12/2009)

Chateau Roc de Candale (Chateau de Candale) Saint-Emilion Grand Cru [Merlot] 2005 (Saint Emilion, Bordeaux, France)
Chateau Roc De Candale (Chateau de Candale) Saint-Emilion Grand Cru [Merlot] 2005 (Saint Emilion, Bordeaux, France)
Retail Price: $40.00

90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Château Roc de Candale is a lively and concentrated wine offering lush aromas of cherry and vanillin oak, a layered mouthfeel, good tannic structure and a long, well balanced finish. Comprised of a blend of lots not used in Château de Candale, Roc de Candale was treated to the same vinification protocol. Individual lots were cold soaked in oak tanks for five days at 7 °C, with periodic pump overs and light punches to cap. The wine was fermented separately by lot and grape variety in thermo-regulated oak tanks for up to 45 days. Secondary (malolactic) fermentation took place, sur lie in barrel. The wine was barreled down separately by lot and varietal to preserve the integrity of the individual components for the final blend.

Lang and Reed Cabernet Franc 2008 (Lake County, North Coast, California)
Retail Price: $22.00

Bright, clear and brilliant deep red color with youthful violet on the edge, the aromatics of this wine are a little darker than previous vintages with black cherry, plum, sage and herbs de Provence overlaid with a touch of cedar and tobacco scents. The richness of this wine is very evident upon washing over the pallet exposing deep black cherry, ripe plum and a slight grip of balancing tannins. A little more structured than an easy quaffer, this wine has some legs for aging and good drinking.

Esoterica (Kent Rasmussen) "Chavez-Leeds Vineyard" Petite Sirah 2007 (Rutherford, Napa Valley, California) - Wine Enthusiast [94 pts]
Retail Price: $40.00
Artisan Wine Depot Price: $37.99
You Save $2.01

94 Points & "Editor's Choice" - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"Very dry and tannic, as Petite Sirah should be. But unlike many “Pets,” it’s also balanced and elegant. The official alcohol
is only 13.5%, yet there’s not a trace of greenness. In fact, the wine, which has plenty of French oak, is quite rich in blackberry and black currant flavors. Really a superb example, a Petite Sirah for Cabernet fans. Should evolve interestingly for many years. Editors’ Choice." (9/2010)
