Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"The 2005 Coto de Imaz Reserva is predominantly Tempranillo with a dollop of Graciano aged for 18 months in American oak. Dark ruby red with a fragrant nose of cedar, rose petal, cherry, and cassis that jumps from the glass, on the palate it displays an elegant personality, good concentration, savory flavors, and enough structure to evolve for several years. It should be at its best from 2012 to 2020."

"Best Buy!" Wine Enthusiast Magazine (2010 vintage):
"Always a consistent rosé from Rioja. The nose is candied but fresh and nice, while the palate is full but standard, with plump melon, citrus and raspberry flavors. Finishes short but sturdy, with balance and good acidity." —M.S.  (10/1/2011)

95 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
The 2007 Pagos Viejos is sourced from Artadi’s three best and most elevated vineyard sites, all planted to Tempranillo over 75 years of age. The wine was aged for 18 months in new French oak. It sports a superb aromatic array of toasty new oak, pencil lead, violets, incense, black cherry, and blueberry. Elegant, ripe, and velvety on the palate, it has superb depth and concentration, savory flavors, a firm structure, and a 45-second finish. Give it 6-8 years of additional bottle age and drink it from 2016 to 2032.  - Jay Miller

98 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
The 2007 El Pison is medium purple in color with a superb, already complex nose of smoke, liquid mineral, crushed stone, lavender, balsamic, and black cherry. This leads to a beautifully proportioned, elegant, satin-textured wine with plush fruit, plenty of structure, and a lengthy, seamless finish. It can be approached now although it is still evolving and should drink well through 2027. Senor Lopez de Lacalle’s description of the 2007 is “delicate, pure, and a wine of finesse. - Jay Miller (June 2010)

The 2009 Artazuri Garnacha is deep purple in color with an inviting nose of spice box, floral notes, and ripe black cherries. Dense, rich, and nicely proportioned on the palate, it has several years of aging potential but can be approached now.

92 Points - Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar:
Deep red. Vibrant red berry and floral aromas are complicated by dried rose and smoky Indian spice notes. Deeply concentrated raspberry and cherry flavors display liqueur-like sweetness brightened by hints of candied flowers and black pepper. The spicy note lingers on the long, lively finish, which repeats the red fruit element. I like this wine's vivacity and clarity.

"The crimson-colored 2004 Reserva is 100% Tempranillo aged in American oak. It gives up aromas of cedar, spice box, mineral, tobacco, and blackberry leading to a sweetly-fruited, elegant, already complex, velvety-textured wine that will provide pleasure for another 10 years. It is an excellent value in traditional Rioja from a great vintage." - Jay Miller (Jun 2010)

"Best Buy" - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"Fairly generous for a bargain-priced, everyday Rioja. There’s bacon, rubber, leather and mild oak on the fruity bouquet, while the palate is concentrated, jumpy and hosts honest red berry fruit flavors along with dry oak and a spot of vanilla. Meets any reasonable expectation of what $12 Rioja should be."  — M.S.  (6/1/2010)
