Inspired by traditional English ESBs, our Calico Amber Ale is as American as it could be.  A rich complexity comes from four types of malt—but it’s those distinct American hops that offer a crisp bitterness and unique floral aroma. To round out our traditional-English-yet-very-American Amber Ale, we use a proprietary yeast to develop a fruity, Madeira-like richness.  Try one today, and find out what a gold medal beer tastes like!

A rich ale recipe from the Homeland, Paddy’s Irish Red Ale is malty sweetness in liquid form. A low hop profile dances above the massive barley character, creating an invigorating aroma and caramel character that will compliment most foods. Hearty and luscious, this brew is what keeps those Irish Eyes A’ Smilin’!

It was created in 1933 by Alfred Dubuisson, grand-father of the present family brewer, Hugues. Its former name was "Bush Beer 24°" (the density in Ballings), but today it is known as Bush Amber. Its amber colour is due to the use of caramel malt in the production process. Its bitter sweet taste provides it with firmness and personality. What's more, it helps digestion.

Crush Beer is our autumn offering developed in tribute to the grape harvest here in Napa Valley. In keeping with the Bavarian tradition of Oktoberfest, this beer is an Amber Lager made with traditional malts. Since we are in the wine country, we also add a small amount of grapes to each batch. They say "It takes a lot of great beer at harvest time to make great wine." It's appropriate for Napa Smith to use grapes in one of their beers, since they also run a winery.

A boldly hopped amber ale that strikes a perfect balance between caramel maltiness and its aggressive hopping. Amber color. Caramel notes and citrusy hops in aroma. Balance between malt and hop on palate with a clean hoppy finish.
