We only use barley malt. That's why the beer is straw-colored. We grow the barley ourselves, in order to guarantee the high quality. The sugars released during the brewing process are converted into alcohol in ten days at a temperature of 25 degrees C. Then, the beer is stored at 0 to 5 degrees C, so that it can rest and the multitude of tastes and flavours appear. This is a simple beer of malt, barley and hops. That's it. Good products, good skills and especially time make this unfiltered, slightly cloudy beer so delicious. It tastes a little bitter at the end due to the strong hops. You can taste our farm, Hof Ten Dormael, in it.

Type: Belgian farm beer
Alcohol: 8 %

White Gold is the first chicory beer in the world.
This blond farm beer has less hops but part of the hops is replaced by the chicory root which is added to the brewage in the last half hour of the brewing process.

Fresh bitter aroma of chicory. Yeasty, fruity sweetness cut by a well balanced bitterness imparted by the chicory root. 90 % of ‘White Gold’ is for export to the United States, only a small part stays in Leuven, for the gourmets.

Belgian Ales represent the height of the brewers' art. Sophisticated brewing techniques, yeast blends and unique flavoring elements have elevated the beers of Belgium to the status enjoyed by wine in other countries.

PranQster follows in this tradition using a mixed culture of antique yeast strains that produce a floral nose, a full fruity flavor and a clean finish.

This American Wild Rye Ale was brewed with a substantial portion of rye malt, and the spicy character of the grain asserts itself with clove and pepper in the aroma and flavor. Add in sour cherry notes from our special blend of micro-organisms and vanilla from the red wine barrels and you’ve got a mouthful!

With wines one talks of "gout du terroir" because the land (terroir) so influences a wine’s flavor. With lambics one must speak of "gout du tonneau" because each cask (tonneau) produces a lambic that matures and tastes different. Thanks to this variation, a lambic’s character comes not only from the base beer made by the brewer but from the casks selected and blended together. And because lambic is lightly sparkling, the flavors and nuances developed through the cask aging can be fully tasted and appreciated, like in gueuze, which is highly sparkling but much less complex.

Rueuze is our take on the traditional Belgian-style blend of lambics of different ages. We carefully select a number of oak barrels from our warehouse that have been aging our sour blonde ale for various lengths of time and blend them to what we think is the ideal flavor. this is one complex beer. Notes of hay, barnyard funk, apricots, and even olives play wonderfully with the balanced acidity.

A surprisingly lovely fruity sweetness, a full round body and a well balanced malty hoppiness, followed by an exotic lasting aftertaste, so typical, you will always recognize the brewery. (Oh! These wonderful Silly yeasts!) Very easy and pleasant to drink, although 7.5 % alcohol makes it a Double. This is, of course, a living beer, refermented and bottle conditioned. Drink it rather cold, 40-45 F.

The taste of this beer borders on Holiness, thus no wonder the brewer let the name point to God--a female God that is, Venus.

Leffe Brown is an authentic abbey beer, brewered according to the traditional recipe of the Abbey of Leffe.  Leffe Brown has a delicate taste of vanilla and clove, and the full aroma of toffee and caramel.  It thanks its deep, dark brown color to darkly roasted malt.  Leffe Brown contains 6.5% alcohol, and it fits best with spicy hearty and sweet dishes, or with aperitif snacks such as toast with foie gras.  A timeless beer for those moments, where you would like to turn back the clock: An aperitif with friends, or a good conversation late in the evening.
