About the Beer:
Brewed to celebrate our 25th anniversary, BLONDE DE L’ENFER (Blonde from hell) is UNIBROUE’S take on a classic style, the Belgian Strong Golden Ale. These ales are traditionally named after hellish demons due to their lust for power and in reference to the beer’s deceitful drinkability.

Brewed with a unique Belgian yeast strain, this sinfully smooth refermented specialty ale is such a wolf in sheep’s clothing, artfully crafted for a delicate balance of spice, malt, and hop flavors with a fine champagne-like effervescence.

It's the beer the monks drink! Brewed with dried orange peel and coriander, this spicy ale was created by the Trappist monks at Scourmont Abbey in Belgium to pair with their evening meals. Now, for the first time since 1862, the monks are making their "table beer" available outside of the monastery. Highly session-able; savor with meals large and small. Chimay ales are produced by the Trappist monks of Notre-Dame de Scourmont Abbey in Belgium, using water drawn from protected wells on the monastery grounds. As much as 90% of the profits go to charity. 4.8% ABV, serve 39°F to 43°F.

Vintage Ale is a truly distinguished bottle-conditioned ale, crafted by Fuller’s Head Brewer, John Keeling. Each vintage is a blend of that year’s finest malt and hops, and of course our unique yeast, creating a unique limited edition brew.

Bottle conditioning means that a little yeast is left in the bottle after bottling, which will mature slowly over time like a fine wine or whisky - well beyond the 'best before' date that we are obliged to state (we think it should read "best after!").

Here at Fuller's, we recently opened (in the interests of research, of course) a few bottles of old Vintages: they tasted better than ever so stock up now and you'll be glad you did in years to come!

Best poured slowly, 1845 delivers a sweet, fruit cake aroma, a dark tawny colour and a dry finish that sings of spices and raisin. Those fruity characteristics harmonise perfectly with the biscuity malts amid a clever and complex range of subtle flavours, the depth of which you could only find in a live beer fermented in the bottle.

If bottle conditioning is more art than science, then Fuller’s 1845 might be considered a masterpiece. It’s matured for 100 days prior to its release, allowing the character and depth of flavour to develop into something truly special.

It’s brewed with amber malt - a popular 19th century ingredient that’s now thriving once again. 1845 is the beer that started its renaissance.

Notes from the Brewery:

Kyara is the Japanese word for a deep golden brown color tinged with red, and gives its name to this beer of the same hue. Aromatic hops carry notes of white grapes and spicy citrus, while a fresh, clean bitterness unfolds on the palate. Six different malts are combined with a slightly higher than average alcohol content, bringing a more expansive flavor to this well rounded, medium bodied brew. Low temperature lager yeasts make this a stand up beer with a pleasant, crisp finish.

Notes from the Brewery:

Shikkoku is a Japanese word that evokes the jet black color of onyx, perfect for this enchantingly dark, slow aged brew marked by an elegant, mellow flavor profile. Enigmatic shadows contrast sharply with the brightness of its fine, tea colored head, while the fragrance of aromatic hops delights the nose. Two types of black malt join six other malt varieties for a black lager that is smooth, light, and balanced never cloying. Japan proudly offers this dark jewel to stand among the best dark beers in the world.

This is the original Paulaner, the founding beer of Paulaner. The Salvator Double Bock is a bottom-fermented beer and has been brewed in almost exactly the same way since the end of the 18th century. It combines the most delicate of hops and dark barley malt to give a strong, characteristically malty taste and an inviting, gleaming copper color.
