This Côtes du Rhône takes its name from the 45th North parallel which
runs two kilometres from our cellars. In the village of Pont de l’Isère,
a monument symbolises this line with an inscription: “The South begins
here”. Our wine has had this name since the beginning of the 1950s.

Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (2010 vintage): "Medium
red. Cherry, redcurrant and gingerbread on the nose. Fleshy and broad
but dry, offering chewy red berry and bitter cherry flavors and a touch
of candied rose. Finishes with good length and peppery bite, repeating
the gingerbread note. This is a very traditional style of Bordeaux
that barely exists anymore and straddles the line between rose and red
wine; it would be great with a roasted chicken or a mushroom-based
dish." - Josh Raynolds (Jun '11)

This wine has a lively pink color and fresh raspberry and tropical
aromas that show a distinct Touriga Nacional character. On the palate,
the wine’s vibrant natural acidity lends this wine balance and a long,
elegant finish. This wine is best enjoyed chilled, not cold, about
12-14ºC.

91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (2010 vintage): "Constituting
40% Syrah from relatively early-picked schistic sites in St.-Chinian
(selected specifically with pink wine in mind) as well as from
Minervois, and with 40% Cinsault, the Hecht & Bannier 2010 Languedoc
Rose delivers not just fresh, tart-edged cherry fruit, and
invigoratingly pungent herbal inflections, but also luscious blood
orange and an astonishing array of mineral nuances including utterly
mouthwatering salinity, all of which promises terrific versatility at
table over the coming year. This is about as vividly fresh-fruited,
exuberant, vibrant, and capital-"M" mineral as you could ask for in any
wine! I tried chasing some of Hecht & Bannier's new Maury with this
and it was utterly luscious, almost suggestive of sweetness in its vivid
evocation of red fruit ? after having a fortified dessert wine in one's
mouth! "It's dry, I promise," says Hecht." - David Schildknecht (Jun
2011)

The 2011 Malbec Rose assertive aromas of roses, honey, and crushed
cherries with notes of spice and rosemary. On the palate, there is
crisp, ripe strawberry fruit with bubblegum and white pepper notes on
the finish. A great match with lighter summer dishes.

"Best Buy!" Wine Enthusiast Magazine (2010 vintage): "Always
a consistent rosé from Rioja. The nose is candied but fresh and nice,
while the palate is full but standard, with plump melon, citrus and
raspberry flavors. Finishes short but sturdy, with balance and good
acidity." —M.S. (10/1/2011)

“Attitude” Rosé is of a beautiful bonbon color with elegant flavors of
red fruits. The Pinot noir will give the finess and the fruit, the
Gamay the strengh, the Cabernet both fruitiness and structure. The
blending lead to an elegant finish showing balance and smoothness.
