90 Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous:
"This product of November 30 and December 5 pickings at multiple sites (Erdener Herrenberg prominent among them) delivers a slightly sweet-sour meld of green apple and apple candy with glazed pineapple. It displays prominent glycerol and considerable sense of stuffing to help buffer its blazing, penetrating, tangy brightness, and finishes with penetrating if edgy and only moderately complex persistence. I would permit it a year or two to settle itself, but given Eiswein’s caprices, I wouldn’t lose track of any bottles I cellared." - David Schildknecht (Jan 2018)

About the Wine:
Pierre Ramonet, established himself as a winemaker in Chassagne-Montrachet in the late 1920s with little more than the shirt on his back and the desire to make wine. He began the process of scraping together vineyard plots and assembling an estate in what is arguably France’s most famous white wine appellation. Under Pierre Ramonet’s son, Andre, the Domaine achieved near legendary status and it’s not atypical to hear words like “genius”, “mythic” and “pinnacle” thrown around in conversations about his winemaking abilities. Now his sons Noël and Jean-Claude continue to run the estate in the tradition of their father and grandfather. The average age of the vines, especially in the Grand Cru vineyards are about 60 years. There are areas, however that are planted with younger vines, but in a strict regimen, fruit from vines under 18 years old is excluded from the Domain’s cuvees. Yields are kept extremely low, and the wines are vinified using traditional techniques. The wines are aged on their lees (With all the seeds and pulp from pressing) in varying proportions of new oak depending on the wine between 12 and 15 months.

91 Points - Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar:
"(80% chardonnay and 20% pinot noir; L49071): Bright orange-pink. Lively red berry and cherry aromas are complemented by notes of orange pith, pungent flowers and chalk. Sappy, penetrating citrus fruit and raspberry flavors pick up notes of anise and buttered toast with air and show very good clarity. Finishes spicy and long, with a lingering floral note. I'd serve this fine-grained Champagne with delicately seasoned Asian dishes or by itself. " - Josh Raynolds (Dec 2012)

96 Points - James Suckling:
"A wine with playful, attractive character. An array of red, blue and purple fruits. Gently spicy, chalky and fragrant, it has a very supple, fleshy and layered palate with a web of fine, smooth and supple tannins. Extremely elegant and composed. A long draw on the finish. Great depth and drive. This will live super long. Try after 2020." - (August 14, 2017)

TASTING NOTES
The third of three superlative vintages in this decade, the 2014 exhibits remarkable balance and freshness lent by the long, temperate growing season overall, and furthered by our cool, marine-influenced Southern Napa vineyard sites. Showing exuberance and plushness on the palate, 2014 Signature Cabernet Sauvignon’s power stroke is its density of fruit and delineated character lent by our rugged Mount Veeder site. Impressive on entry, the wine is brimming with dark fruits— black cherry, savory blueberry, and cola are wrapped in an earthy ribbon of bittersweet cocoa, espresso and hints of vanilla. The palate is gorgeously textured and lively, revealing sweet herbal notes of anise, dried sage and tobacco. Skillful blending of Bordeaux varieties imparts this Cabernet Sauvignon with a measure of restraint, intended to reward long term aging.

92 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine (2015 Vintage):
"There's a dusty character to the tannins, which complement the tart pomegranate and raspberry fruit. It's already quite smooth, lightly toasty and finished with a dollop of cinnamon." - Paul Gregutt (4/1/2018)

98 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2009 is one of the greatest wines ever produced from the estate. It has a riveting bouquet of quince, honey, pear and a touch of clarified butter that is beautifully defined, offering scents of yellow flowers with continued aeration. It is a little heavier and more intense than its peers at this stage. The palate is beautifully balanced with perfectly judged acidity and immense purity. The finish offers crisp honey, quince and clementine notes laden with botrytis that is counterpoised by wonderful acidity. It possesses an unerring sense of completeness and composure that is irresistible. Bravo! Drink now-2050." - Neal Martin (27th Feb 2013)

98 Points - Wine Spectator Magazine:
"A jaw-dropper, with quince, persimmon, mango, fig and blood orange marmalade notes providing a kaleidoscopic experience as this moves along, slowly pulling in more ginger, marzipan, green fig and date notes. The finish is so seamless it feels like glistening porcelain. Drink now through 2040. From France." — J.M. (Dec. 21, 2016)

The Palate:  Like the nose with its caramel-y, Vin Santo honey. Continued juicy raisins and sticky plums, but more dried fruits as well. The floral/herbal quality is perhaps a little subdued here, though still quite present, with the wormwood and bittering ingredients swelling a little towards the end. It’s hard to call a sweet vermouth dry, but this one has a very pleasant, wine-like dryness towards the end.

About the Vermouth:
Dolin is produced using botanicals such as wormwood and 16 other herbs and spices. There’s a gentle sweetness, with tropical, almost lychee, flavours. This gives way to drier, herbal notes, and a bitter clove finish.
