95 Points - Connoisseur's Guide to California Wine:
"(just bottled): The second of Moone-Tsai's new show-stopping Chardonnays is a lavish and very outgoing wine that very much owes to high ripeness and rich oak, but it never once wavers in fruit. It leads with very intense aromas of caramel apples, vanilla, toast and roasted grains and follows up on its exciting aromatic promise with big, wonderfully complex flavors to match. There are bound to be naysayers who will accuse it of being too much, but, while we might agree that it is a wine of grand depth and breadth, its near-profligate richness is matched by very careful construction, and its very enthusiastic recommendation comes without caveat or condition."

90 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"This blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest equal parts Merlot and Petit Verdot is made by Realm’s fabulous winemaker, Benoit Touquette. The opaque ruby/purple-colored 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced mainly from Oakville vineyards, exhibits notes of baking spices, toast, blackcurrants and blackberries. Medium to full-bodied, round and juicy, it is best drunk over the next decade or more." - Robert M. Parker, Jr. (Oct 2014)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (2012 vintage):
Fashioned from five separate areas of California (Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino, Amador and El Dorado), the 2012 Proprietary Red Abstract is a blend of Grenache, Petite Sirah and Syrah that is aged in new and neutral French oak for 10 months. It does not possess the compelling characteristics of its siblings, but it offers up delicious, consumer-friendly notes of kirsch and blackcurrants intermixed with underbrush and cedary, foresty notes in the background. This dense, medium to full-bodied, soft, round wine should be consumed in its first 4-6 years of life.

Artisan Wine Depot Price: $124.99
You save $53.01!

91-93 Points - Antonio Galloni:
"The 2011 Metisse Jumping Goat Vineyard is one of the biggest, most concentrated 2011s I have tasted so far. Hints of scorched earth, tobacco and spices add complexity to a huge core of dark fruit. In 2011 the blend is 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot, which is to say the Cabernet is down and the Merlot is up relative to the 2010. The additional Merlot in the blend seems to add gorgeous mid-palate pliancy." - Antonio Galloni (July 2013)

This vintage was a very striking and plentiful one and this CJ has the amazing depth that resonates with the 2012 harvest. With intense aromatics of dark red cherry, cedar, smoke and leather along with incredible richness, this wine demonstrates how a very complex wine can also be truly balanced and lush. This is certainly one of the most structured CJ's that we have ever produced to date.

Retail Price: $68.00
Artisan Wine Depot Price: $59.97
You save $8.03!

CASE PRICE = $56.97 per bottle (add 6+ quantity to your basket)

94 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2010 Cenyth is composed of 54% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Franc and 12% Cabernet Sauvignon. The alcohol is 13.4% and the fruit was sourced from the same vineyards. Very Bordeaux-like (no doubt due to the lower alcohol profile), it offers up notes of red and black currants, cedarwood, spice box, vanillin, licorice, underbrush and unsmoked cigar tobacco. The wine reveals fine-grained tannins and beautiful density and richness. Compared to the 2009, which is a Medoc-like blend, the 2010 is more of a right bank St.-Emilion-styled wine." - Robert M. Parker, Jr. (Dec 2013)

Deovlet Santa Barbara County Chardonnay 2012 (Santa Barbara County, California)

Retail Price: $35.00
Artisan Wine Depot Price: $29.99

Winemaker Notes:

The fruit from two distinct appellations, Santa Maria Valley and Sta. Rita Hills, come together to create a wine with beautiful mid-palate concentration, bright acidity, and exquisite length. Hints of lemon zest, wildflower, pome fruit, and hazelnut are framed by subtle new French oak (~25%) which brings seamless balance, complexity, and depth.

Retail Price: $75.00
Artisan Wine Depot Price: $69.97
You save $5.03!

96-98 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Acvocate:
"No 2011 was produced, but the 2012 Syrah Rodger’s Creek Vineyard includes 12% Viognier co-fermented with 88% Syrah. It displays terrific aromas of spring flowers, crème de cassis, blackberries, coffee and incense. Unctuously textured and dense with oodles of fruit and glycerin as well as a long, heady finish, this fabulous Syrah should drink well for a decade or more." - Robert M. Parker, Jr. (Dec 2014)

Lucia (Pisoni) Chardonnay 2013 (Santa Lucia Highlands, Monterey County, California)
Lucia (Pisoni) Chardonnay 2013 (Santa Lucia Highlands, Monterey County, California)
Retail Price: $50.00
Artisan Wine Depot Price: $44.97
You save $5.03!

Winemaker's Tasting Notes:
Light green-gold with an unfiltered, slightly cloudy appearance, the Lucia 2013 Chardonnay begins with expressive and concentrated aromas of citrus blossom, lemon oil, stone fruit and the slightest vanilla undertones. The aromas then give way to a palate both full bodied and light on its feet. This delicate balance results from drier growing conditions giving concentration and cool weather that retains the wine’s freshness. This wine is the richer of the two Chardonnays in this release and will drink well over the next 5-7 years.
