97 Points - Wine Enthusiast:
"All the benefits of maturity come through in this deliciously complex flagship sparkling wine of the French-owned estate. It shows very minute, slow-rising bubbles and a beautiful bouquet of ginger, cinnamon, cherry and fresh croissants. The flavors are layered, intricate, subtle but somehow rich. A lush and seemingly soft texture is supported by fresh acidity that encourages a long and delicate finish. Mature, but not old, it should be great through 2020 or longer." Jim Gordon (12/1/2014)

Mica is produced by Bill and Alicia Deem's brilliant winemaking team at Buccella (Latin for "mouthful"). The consulting winemaker is Celia Welch, best known for her extraordinary work at Staglin, D. R. Stephens, and Scarecrow.

Buccella's excellent reputation should not be an unknown to the Napa Valley aficonado, with a consistent record of very high ratings from Wine Spectator, Stephen Tanzer and Robert Parker since its inaugural 2002 vintage. However, it is certainly a luxury Cab, costing up to $160 per bottle.

“Mica” is the result of sorting and declassifying barrels that do not make the final cut for the Buccella Cab. They are both made exactly the same way. All the components are whole berry fermented in t-bins, barrel aged 22 months in new French oak and then bottled unfiltered and unfined.

The wine exudes an "expensive" purity of intense black fruits, rich lush texture, and decadent mouthfeel, while still performing with a sense of lithe, grace, and refinement. Mica is also the ideal candidate for "blind" tastings with Cabernet collectors because it tastes like most of the $150 - $200 Cult Cabs out there.

94 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2011 Pinot Noir Selleck is a brilliant 2011 that does everything right. Framboise, rose petal, sappy underbrush and spice all give way to an energetic, taut and vibrant-styled Pinot that has perfect balance and fine tannin structure. Fermented with 100% whole cluster and aged 18 months in 30% new French oak, it’s a rocking effort to enjoy over the coming 5-7 years." - Jeb Dunnuck (Aug 2014)

"Layers of blue/black fruit, cloves, mint, pine and new leather flesh out in the 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard. All the elements fall into place in a wine that captures the essence of this famed site. White pepper and a hint of orange peel add an exotic flair on the sumptuous, nuanced finish. This is a fabulous showing." - Antonio Galloni (November 2013)

92-94 Points - Vinous Media:
"The 2012 Pinot Noir Katherine Lindsay Estate stands out for its polish and balance. Floral notes meld into juicy red berries, mint and sweet spices. Ferrous notes develop over time, but they remain very much in the background, while floral overtones appear on the finish, adding lift, perfume and precision." - Antonio Galloni (February 2014)

90 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The single vineyard offerings include the elegant 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Las Piedras Vineyard, an impressive wine exhibiting a dense ruby/purple color, creamy richness, lots of creme de cassis, licorice and forest floor, a complete palate from the attack to the finish with no holes, vegetal characteristics or astringency. While less powerful than this cuvee can be in a great vintage, it still delivers the goods. Drink it over the next decade." - Robert M. Parker, Jr. (Oct 2013)

Our 2013 Napa Valley Chardonnay is nothing short of refreshing, an
excellent expression of both the varietal and the great 2013 growing
season. Aromas of crisp, ripe apple and Asian pear mingle in the glass,
while an invigorating acidity plays across the tongue. This is a
medium-bodied Chardonnay with a touch of French oak to give it added
dimension and an elegant, lasting finish.
