94 Points & "Editors’ Choice" - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"Lingua Franca, a Larry Stone/Dominique Lafon project, offers a challenging, absorbing lineup of Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs. The Avni bottling is tangy and tight, with white peach and melon fruit and hints of toasted nuts and butter. The finish extends gracefully, keeping you riveted." - Paul Gregutt (2/1/2018)

94 Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous:
"Deep red. Ripe black raspberry and cherry cola scents are complemented by suggestions of exotic floral oils, Indian spices and woodsmoke. Plush, sweet and sappy on the palate, offering concentrated red and dark berry and cherry liqueur flavors that become more lively with aeration. In a rich but decidedly vibrant style, thanks to a spine of juicy acidity. Finishes smooth, focused and extremely long, with building spiciness and smooth, gently gripping tannins." - Josh Raynolds (Dec 2016)

Calera Pinot Noir Mt. Harlan "Ryan Vineyard" 2012 (Central Coast, California) - [PR 93]

94 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"From one of the cooler terroirs on the estate, the 2012 Pinot Noir Ryan Vineyard offers full-bodied richness and depth to go with ample sweet black cherries, cassis, sassafras, crushed flowers and toasted spice. A decidedly hedonistic, full throttled example of this cuvee, this superb Pinot Noir firms up nicely on the finish and has a full, layered mid-palate. Drink it now, or cellar it for a decade." - Jeb Dunnuck (27th Aug 2015)

93-95 Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous:
"The 2016 Merlot is aromatically expressive and dense, a combination that is hugely appealing. Sage, mint, licorice, chocolate, lavender and black cherry jam run through this large-scaled, beautifully resonant Merlot. The interplay of elements here is really quite striking. There is quite a bit to look forward to. A dollop of Malbec rounds out the blend." - Antonio Galloni (Mar 2018)

92-95 Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous:
"Dark red and bluish hued fruits, crushed rocks, mint and licorice all make an appearance in the 2014 Dancing Hares, a wine endowed with considerable energy. Today, the 2014 is raw and not fully formed, but it is impressive just the same. Lavender, cloves, mint and crushed rocks inform the tense, pulsating finish." - Antonio Galloni (October 2015)

94 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2014 Proprietary Red Wine is a blend of 87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc and the rest Petit Verdot, Merlot and Malbec, again, showing slightly less depth than its two surrounding siblings, but beautiful pure fruit, silky, velvety tannins, a layered mouthfeel and deep blackcurrant and black cherry fruit intermixed with cedar wood, fruitcake and smoky oak. This is a terrific wine as well and it will be the fastest out of the gate in terms of evolution – drinking beautifully for the next 15+ years." - Robert M. Parker, Jr. (30th Dec 2016)
