91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The opaque purple 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits cassis, charcoal, graphite, and sweet tannins in an exuberant, opulent style that would please both Joe the plumber and the connoisseur. It is deep, fleshy, and best drunk over the next 10-15 years. None other than the well-known Luc Morlet makes the wines at this winery on Spring Mountain." -Robert Parker (12/2009)

"The prodigious 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate looks terrific, with the most structure, minerality, and power of the two Cabernets, but beautiful blueberry and floral notes intermixed with camphor, creme de cassis, licorice, and forest floor. Full-bodied, with terrific texture, sweet tannin, and fabulous length and concentration, this is a wine to drink young or cellar for 25 more years. Retail Price: $30.00
Artisan Wine Depot Price: $24.99
You Save $5.01

Our Bordeaux-style wine is named after the Fremere family (actually spelled Pfremmer or Pfrimmer), Maureen's maternal great grandmother's family line who immigrated to America from Alsace France in the early 1700s. Later as a pioneer family they came west via the Oregon Trail and settled in Idaho and raised livestock, fowl, nuts and even possibly grapes on their family farm for generations. The bigness of the Cab comes through in this wine with dark stone fruit flavors, currant, espresso and the mouth feel of a Cab. The upfront entry gives way to nuances of cigar box, truffles, cinnamon and cloves.

91-93 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The finest 2005 is the Ame (which means “soul” in French), a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon cuvee fashioned from a parcel of the estate vineyard in Napa’s Conn Valley. Perhaps because of that, it possesses more minerality along with licorice, black currant, and cedar wood notes. Dense, full-bodied, rich, and impressively endowed, with good acidity, tannin, and extract, this 600-case offering will be at its best between 2009-2018." - Robert Parker (12/2006)

"A big, broad-shouldered Cabernet, with lots of toast and mocha leading the way for dark plum, currant paste, fig, graphite and coca notes. The long, smoky, fleshy finish lets the toast influence take over. Drink now through 2013. 448 cases made. " –JM (5/31/2008)
