92+ Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2008 Malleolus comes from older vines and spent 18 months in French oak. It gives up a promising nose of pain grille, mineral, espresso, violets, and blackberry. This is followed by a tannic, savory offering "" src="/v/vspfiles/assets/images/rating90.gif" with just enough fruit for balance. It will benefit from 2-3 years of additional cellaring to melt some of the tannins and will drink nicely through 2023." - Jay Miller (Jun 2011)

"The 2007 Malleolus de Sancho Martin is a bit more reticent aromatically than the Valderramiro but with a very similar profile. On the palate it has greater volume as well as a bit more structure. Opulent, rich, and concentrated, it will reward extended cellaring and offer prime drinking from 2016 to 2037." - Jay Miller (Jun 2010)

"The 2007 Malleolus de Valderramiro is a glass-coating opaque purple. It showcases a superb, sexy bouquet of sandalwood, graphite, Asian spices, incense, black cherry, and blackberry that leaps from the glass. Opulent, already complex with more to come, and super-long in the finish, it offers a drinking window extending from 2016 to 2037." - Jay Miller (Jun 2010)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"The 2005 Coto de Imaz Reserva is predominantly Tempranillo with a dollop of Graciano aged for 18 months in American oak. Dark ruby red with a fragrant nose of cedar, rose petal, cherry, and cassis that jumps from the glass, on the palate it displays an elegant personality, good concentration, savory flavors, and enough structure to evolve for several years. It should be at its best from 2012 to 2020."

The 2007 Pagos Viejos is sourced from Artadi’s three best and most elevated vineyard sites, all planted to Tempranillo over 75 years of age. The wine was aged for 18 months in new French oak. It sports a superb aromatic array of toasty new oak, pencil lead, violets, incense, black cherry, and blueberry. Elegant, ripe, and velvety on the palate, it has superb depth and concentration, savory flavors, a firm structure, and a 45-second finish. Give it 6-8 years of additional bottle age and drink it from 2016 to 2032.  - Jay Miller

The 2007 El Pison is medium purple in color with a superb, already complex nose of smoke, liquid mineral, crushed stone, lavender, balsamic, and black cherry. This leads to a beautifully proportioned, elegant, satin-textured wine with plush fruit, plenty of structure, and a lengthy, seamless finish. It can be approached now although it is still evolving and should drink well through 2027. Senor Lopez de Lacalle’s description of the 2007 is “delicate, pure, and a wine of finesse. - Jay Miller (June 2010)

94 Points -Wine Spectator Magazine:
Dense, almost syrupy, this brooding red is powerful and distinctive, offering currant, blackberry, anise, espresso and hoisin flavors, supported by chewy tannins. Yet the finish is spicy and floral, almost delicate. Best from 2012 through 2020. 900 cases imported. –TM

92 Points - Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar:
Deep red. Vibrant red berry and floral aromas are complicated by dried rose and smoky Indian spice notes. Deeply concentrated raspberry and cherry flavors display liqueur-like sweetness brightened by hints of candied flowers and black pepper. The spicy note lingers on the long, lively finish, which repeats the red fruit element. I like this wine's vivacity and clarity.

The 2008 Rivola is a blend of Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon displaying aromas of spice box, incense, violets, and black cherry. Savory and sweetly-fruited on the palate, it is an excellent value meant for drinking over the next 4-5 years.
