This Côtes du Rhône takes its name from the 45th North parallel which runs two kilometres from our cellars. In the village of Pont de l’Isère, a monument symbolises this line with an inscription: “The South begins here”. Our wine has had this name since the beginning of the 1950s.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
"The 2005 Coto de Imaz Reserva is predominantly Tempranillo with a dollop of Graciano aged for 18 months in American oak. Dark ruby red with a fragrant nose of cedar, rose petal, cherry, and cassis that jumps from the glass, on the palate it displays an elegant personality, good concentration, savory flavors, and enough structure to evolve for several years. It should be at its best from 2012 to 2020."

91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (2010 vintage):
"Constituting 40% Syrah from relatively early-picked schistic sites in St.-Chinian (selected specifically with pink wine in mind) as well as from Minervois, and with 40% Cinsault, the Hecht & Bannier 2010 Languedoc Rose delivers not just fresh, tart-edged cherry fruit, and invigoratingly pungent herbal inflections, but also luscious blood orange and an astonishing array of mineral nuances including utterly mouthwatering salinity, all of which promises terrific versatility at table over the coming year. This is about as vividly fresh-fruited, exuberant, vibrant, and capital-"M" mineral as you could ask for in any wine! I tried chasing some of Hecht & Bannier's new Maury with this and it was utterly luscious, almost suggestive of sweetness in its vivid evocation of red fruit ? after having a fortified dessert wine in one's mouth! "It's dry, I promise," says Hecht." - David Schildknecht (Jun 2011)

The 2007 Vintage was Rank #89 - Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines of 2009

90-93 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"A blend of equal parts Grenache and Syrah, the 2009 Perrin et Fils Cotes du Rhone Villages Vinsobres Les Cornuds reveals abundant aromas of crushed rocks, spring flowers and blue as well as black fruits in its darker, more cool climate style. It is completely different from the Grenache-dominated wines from the warmer climates of Cairanne, Rasteau, Vacqueyras or Gigondas. The impressive, deep, rich Vinsobres Les Cornuds comes from high elevation (400 feet) vineyards, and should easily age for 10 years." —Robert Parker (Oct 2010)

91 Points & "Smart Buy" - Wine Spectator Magazine:

"Still tightly wound, with an almost bracing violet note leading the way for dark plum and blackberry fruit, ending
with a flash of pastis on the finish, where a tangy iron edge holds sway. Should settle in nicely with modest cellaring. Drink now through 2016. 2,500 cases imported." —J.M. (Jan 31, 2011)

91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
The 2009 Artazuri Garnacha is deep purple in color with an inviting nose of spice box, floral notes, and ripe black cherries. Dense, rich, and nicely proportioned on the palate, it has several years of aging potential but can be approached now.
- Jay Miller (June 2011)

90 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2007 Nita is composed of 45% Garnacha, 35% Carinena, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Syrah aged in tank. Cherry red in color, it exhibits a fragrant bouquet of crushed stone, underbrush, spice box, black cherry, and blueberry jam. Silky-textured, forward, succulent, and well-balanced, this charming effort can be enjoyed now but should provide pleasure for another five years. - Jay Miller (Feb 2009)

90 Points - Wine Spectator Magazine (2007 vintage):
A nice rustic edge frames the chestnut, black tea, bittersweet cocoa and mulled blackberry flavors in this slightly burly, grippy version. Lingering olive and tar notes add length and heft. For fans of the gutsy style. Drink now through 2010. 500 cases made. –JM

91 Points - Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar:
"Bright ruby.  Raspberry, bitter cherry, herbs and dried flowers on the nose and palate, along with subtle smokiness and a touch of candied licorice.  Gain weight and spiciness with air and finishes very long, with clinging cherry and bitter chocolate flavors.  This wine's structure bodes well for cellaring." - Stephen Tanzer (Nov/Oct '11)
