"The 2008 Finca Altamira is a bit broader and richer on the palate. It is an opulent wine that combines elegance with power. Give it 4-5 years of cellaring and drink it from 2014 to 2028. Achaval Ferrer is now firmly established as one of Argentina’s benchmark producers." - Jay Miller (12/2010)

You’ll also find complex notes of grilled meats, chocolate, herbs and spices, wrapped into a perfectly soft, delectable texture. Drink now–2015." — S.H. (4/1/2012)

98 Points - James Suckling:
"Extraordinary aromas of blackberry and licorice with violets. Full body, with incredible depth of fruit and tension. Phenomenal mouthfeel. So much mineral and dried flowers too. Drink or hold." - (June 11th, 2014)

95 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2011 Malbec Finca Bella Vista is from Perdriel (where they have the winery) at 985 meters above sea level, on the south bank of the Mendoza River. The soils are deep, with abundant gravel. This seems much more subtle and elegant than the Mirador, with finesse and ample fine tannins, the medium-bodied palate is precise, a little incisive, with good acidity. This is concentrated and smooth, powerful and elegant. Drink 2014-2024." - Luis Gutierrez (Apr 2014)

91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2012 Malbec (first vintage was 2003) is a blend of three vineyards from Medrano, one from Lujan, one from Gualtallary (the highest altitude) and one from La Consulta in the Uco Valley. There is a short fermentation (7 days) but it resulted in a very dark-colored, ripe wine with aromas of blackberries, a touch of red fruit, and hints of smoke and spices. It is quite intense. The old vines are always different in the nose and the palate and this feels like an old-vine Malbec, medium-bodied palate, supple, mineral, rounder, velvety, grapy and silkier. Tannin and alcohol are well-integrated and in the background. Drink now-2018." - Luis Gutierrez (Apr 2014)

"This dark, compact red leads with a floral note to the racy cassis and cherry puree fruit, well-integrated with fine tannins and bright acidity. Offers a long finish of fruit, mineral and tobacco. Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Best from 2014 through 2018. 8,583 cases made." – NW (Nov 15, 2013)

93 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2009 Quimera is a blend of 40% Malbec, 22% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Cabernet Franc, and 4% Petit Verdot with yields averaging a minuscule 1.3 tons per acre. The wine was aged in 40% new French oak. Pain grille, pencil lead, Asian spices, incense, violets, and assorted black fruits inform the nose of a complex, intense, layered, spicy, succulent wine with impeccable balance and length. Although it can be approached now, it will benefit from another 2-3 years of cellaring." - Jay Miller (Dec 2011)

90 Points - Wine Enthusiast:
"This is a powerhouse of ripe fruits, strong tannins and dark acidity. It burst out of the glass with its bold, firm flavors and solid structure. It is already balanced, the fruit complementing the dense texture. But it will certainly develop more and age very well. Drink in 2016 and until 2022." — Roger Voss (12/31/2013)
