94 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2010 Catena Zapata Malbec Argentino is a blend of grapes from Adrianna and Nicasia, from the deepest, coolest soils in those vineyards, in Gualtallary and Altamira. They were looking for something that represents the essence of Malbec. The first vintage for this wine was 2004, when they finally found the blend and character they were looking for. The name they wanted to use for the wine was Malbec Puro, but they didn’t want any confusion with cigars, so they called it Malbec Argentino instead! It is very aromatic with floral notes, mainly violets and blue fruit, and is nicely defined. It is opulent with sweet tannins but with the hallmark of the freshness found in all the wines from those two vineyards, precise and long. Drink 2015-2020." - Luis Gutierrez (Apr 2014)

93 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2010 Catena Zapata Nicasia Vineyard is a single-vineyard Malbec from their vines from Nicasia in Altamira (La Consulta) in the south of the Uco Valley, a chalk-rich zone that is quickly gaining ground on the terroir map of Mendoza. The grapes were barrel fermented with 5% Cabernet Franc. The grapes were harvested at six different points in time, depending on the difference of soils in the vineyard. I see quite ripe fruit here, a round wine, with some black fruit, notes of ripe melon, very spicy, and also flavors of sweet ripe fruit with round and polished, sweet tannins, very tasty but also with very good freshness and high acidity (it has 6.1 grams of acidity). Drink 2014-2018." - Luis Gutierrez (Apr 2014)

Clos la Coutale wine is produced from Malbec and Merlot grapes. The yield is on average 45hl/ha which enables good maturation and regular quality over the years. Vinification is carried out in thermo-controlled vats, and regular
"pigeages'' (breaking-up of the layer formed on top of the juice) both ensure maximum extraction of the "bouquet" and the fruit. Clos la Coutale is then elaborated in oak barrels to obtain a full balance between the tannins and the fruit.

"A jammy red, backed by vibrant acidity to the chewy layers of plum skin, blueberry and blackberry fruit, as assertive tannins settle in on the dark, minerally finish. Drink now. 8,000 cases imported." –NW (2013)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate (2011 vintage):
"The 2011 Montes Twins is a blend of Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon with a very dark color and a black nose of fountain pen ink, licorice and peat, the fruit also black, and a medium-bodied palate with intense flavors, quite powerful and concentrated. Drink now." Luis Gutierrez (June 2014)

Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (2011 vintage):
"(a blend of 43% cabernet sauvignon, 19% merlot, 16% cabernet franc, 13% malbec and 9% petit verdot): Good dark red. Aromas of plum syrup, dark chocolate, herbs and menthol. In a soft, sweet style, with currant and plum fruit flavors complicated by sweet oak. A bit slight on the back end, showing a faintly tart edge. (Bridesmaid is a joint venture between Pam Starr and Drew Neiman focused on producing Bordeaux blends at moderate prices.)" -Stephen Tanzer (May/Jun 14)

"The 2012 Felino Merlot is from Tupungato and Lujan de Cuyo. The wine ferments in stainless steel, malolactic is in French and American oak barrels where the wine aged for eight months. The nose has notes of red fruit yogurt intermixed with some earthy aromas and a light vegetal touch. The medium to full-bodied palate has some dusty tannins balanced by juicy black fruit with some herbaceous freshness. Drink now-2017." -Luis Gutierrez (Apr 2014)

93 Points & Editors' Choice - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"Always one of Mendoza’s best blended reds, this mix of 60% Malbec, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc opens with crisp aromas of minerals and black fruits. The palate is jammy and chunky but not soft. Roasted, earthy, leathery berry flavors are complex, while the finish is deep and dense. Drink through 2019." -Michael Schachner (10/1/2014)
