Notes From The Winemaker:

Produced in the area surrounding Montemarano, this ruby red wine spends 12 months in French barrique followed by another year fining in the bottle.

What Does It Taste Like?

Dark berry fruit lingers behind a vinous nose, interlaced with hints of licorice, coupled with a harmonious dry taste, which is rightfully tannic and tends to soften and become velvety with age. It is a wine that goes well with poultry, roasted or stewed meats, wild game, grilled sausage and assorted cheese platters.
