Notes from the Winemaker:The winery Fornacina is situated just outside the town of Montalcino, surrounded by its vineyards. The Biliorsi family produces the Brunello di Montalcino according to the tradition, a passion passed on for generations. Ruggero Biliorsi is the founder of the winery, where the first bottle of Brunello goes back to 1981; it is now run by his son Simon with the collaboration of his brother Mauro, maintaining the same values of the grounds where it all began. With the consultancy of winemaker Attilio Pagli and agronomist Folco Giovanni Bencini, they are carrying out a small but ambitious project looking to produce a Brunello as the tradition commands, and also to protect the environment that surrounds the winery.
