Notes from the Winemaker:

Château Paveil de Luze is a small family estate in Soussans in the Médoc. It is an old property dating back to the 17th century. The Baron Alfred de Luze purchased the estate in 1862, and his descendants have held it ever since. The wines have seen remarkable improvement in recent years, now that they are again bottled at the Château.

Quite unique, that is what Paveil de Luze is in many respects.

- its 80 acre vineyard sits as it did three centuries ago, on the same ground, in one solid piece of land the château. Unchanged, undivided.

- Little earth and gravel depth provides natural drainage which accounts for delicacy and finesse.

As neatly tended as flowerbeds, vines throw their root deeply in order to find vital drops of water and nutritive principles. Traditional grape varietals only were selected in the following proportions: Cabernet Sauvignon 65%, Merlot 30%, Cabernet Franc 5%.

Chateau Paveil de Luze, Cru Bourgeois Supérieur, boasts a rich truffle and red fruits bouquet, a well-balanced elegant and fulfilling body with a lovely slightly spicy finish.
