Notes from the Winemaker:

Cuvée Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs is made exclusively with Chardonnay grapes from Chouilly, the prestigious village in the Côte des Blancs classed as a Grand Cru.

This Cuvée is a grand tribute to that uniquely fleshy, buttery character of Chouilly. The vinification process is very traditional, partly in barrels, and further accentuates the typical character of this famous terroir. Thanks to long ageing for at least 3 years, the lightest of dosages is possible, thereby magnifying the wine and preserving all its natural freshness.

Golden colour with the greenish tints so typical of a Blanc de Blancs, extremely fine bubbles, delicate foam.

Makes a delicious impression with its initial floral scents followed by rich white fruit aromas.

A fleshy, full-bodied wine with buttery flavours - the unique expression of those renowned Chouilly Chardonnays. A lingering, long-lasting finish.

This cuvée makes a superbly generous aperitif, and is ideal served with more delicate fish dishes such as scallops with a hint of dill, vanilla and a light emulsion sauce, steamed prawns, hot oysters with julienne vegetables, or a langoustine
carpaccio... The buttery character of the Chardonnay requires that it be served chilled but not ice-cold, ideally at 10 °C, and in large glasses.

Ratings & Reviews

Lenoble was recently ranked by the Revue du Vin de France the 14th best Champagne House ahead of some very prestigious names. Exceptional quality from this rising star!

91 Points - Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar:
"(made from fruit grown in Chouilly; L12 272 06 09 07): Pale gold. Assertive, mineral-tinged citrus and orchard fruits on the nose, with a suave jasmine nuance adding lift. Smoky and penetrating on the palate, offering energetic orange, anise and buttery brioche flavors and a hint of poached pear. Shows excellent clarity and lift on the finish, which clings with real tenacity and suave florality." - Josh Raynolds (Nov/Dec 2013)
