2004 Vintage:
The 2004 Côte Bonneville represents the best expression of our DuBrul Vineyard, resulting from the unique events that shaped that vintage year. In January 2004, an arctic blast struck Washington State, severely damaging many vines. Our vineyard was spared. The cool growing season brought red berries, savory earth notes, and lovely balance. Austere in it's youth, it has developed more complexity and finesse with age.

94 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"More rich, layered and concentrated, and also showing the age-ability of the wines, the 2004 Cote Bonneville is from a cooler year which was described by Hugh as similar to 2010. Made from 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot that was aged in 100% new French oak, it is still incredibly youthful and fresh on both the nose and palate. Offering up big minerality, cedar box, spice, cherry and cassis aromas and flavors, it is a medium to full-bodied blend that has a light, fresh texture, almost no evolution and a classically constructed, focused finish. A joy to drink, it should continue to evolve for another decade or more. Drink now-2023+." - Jeb Dunnuck (Jun 2013)

94 Points - Wine Spectator Magazine:
"Lithe, supple, refined and focused, playing its mocha-accented blackberry and cherry fruit against silky tannins. The finish rolls on and on without losing its graceful sense of elegance. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Drink now through 2014. 450 cases made." - HS (Oct 2008)

2005 Vintage:
2005 was a drought year; in response, the vines produced subtle new flavors in the fruit. The wine has deep dark blackberry, cherry, blueberry, and black tea elements with bold yet refined tannins in abundance. Memories of the toasty crusted edge of a blackberry pie are conjured up. This wine was chosen for the presentation of Côte Bonneville as a Wine Spectator Rising Star at the California Wine Experience in New York.

95+ Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2005 Cote Bonneville will be released in April, 2009. It has everything that the 2004 has and more. It is a more structured effort and will benefit from 6-8 years of cellaring. If you don’t know about this winery, it’s time to get it in gear." - Jay S. Miller (Jun 2008)

94 Points - Wine Spectator Magazine:
"
Polished, focused and juicy, with bright red fruit flavors that mingle appealingly with hints of chocolate and cherry as the finish lingers expressively on a refined frame. There's an elegance to this, and a depth that only becomes apparent with successive sips. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Drink now through 2016. 700 cases made." - HS (Jun 2009)

2006 Vintage:
2006 provided a growing season of normalcy, following the heat of ’03, the cooler ’04, and the drought of ’05. The hillside vines responded beautifully, providing a classic statement of our DuBrul Vineyard. The wine is deep garnet in color, with a nose of exotic spice, deep cassis, and Kahlua undertones. Flavors of cherry, blackberry, raspberry, espresso, and cocoa are well integrated. The palate coating richness and length of finish are signature DuBrul Vineyard.

95 Points - Wine Spectator Magazine:
"Polished, round and focused, with a vibrant feel to the ripe black cherry, cassis, peach, herb and tar flavors, hinting at cocoa and spice as it all lingers harmoniously against velvety tannins. This has power but also refinement. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Best from 2012 through 2016. 500 cases made." –HS (Dec 2010)

91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2006 Cote Bonneville Cabernet Sauvignon DuBrul Vineyard is dark ruby-colored with an aromatic array of toasty oak, spice box, pencil lead, earth notes, cassis, and black currants. On the palate it is sweetly-fruited, elegant, and incipiently complex. This lengthy effort will evolve for 2-3 years and offer a drinking window extending from 2012 to 2021." - Jay S. Miller (Oct 2009)
