About this Wine:

Brightly coloured with green tints. Fine, persistent bubbles. Rich and fresh on the nose. White fruit and flowers evolving towards mineral, spicy notes. Remarkably balanced on the palate. The attack is fresh and remarkably well balanced with a silky texture. Very pure and fine. This wine will be excellent as an aperitif and could also accompany refined fish dishes.

Ratings & Reviews

95 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"Just touching maturity, this is a wonderful wine. With intense acidity, yeast, minerality and a beautiful final citrus texture, this is ready to drink but will age for many years." — R.V. (12/1/2010)

95 Points - The Wine News:
"Attractive aromas of cinnamon and apple butter. Lush and quite creamy with butterscotch, caramel and taffy apple flavors. Excellent length with a mix of toasted oak and brown spices. Drinking nicely right now."

92 Points - Allen Meadows' Burghound :
"This has changed very little from my review of two years ago as the toasty nose still has abundant notes of roast nut, brioche and distinct yeast aromas that complement rich, full and powerful flavors that offer excellent intensity and finishing punch on the impressively long finish. This can be drunk with pleasure now or cellared for at least another decade, perhaps longer. A lovely effort fashioned in a relatively robust and powerful but not inelegant style." (Oct 01, 2009)

92 Points - Wine Spectator Magazine:
"This is rich, lush even, offering honey, coffee, grilled nut and citrus elements. Firms up, with the structure coming into play from midpalate to the finish. Enjoyable now, but there's no rush. Drink now through 2020. 700 cases imported." –BS (Nov 30, 2009)

91 Points - Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar:
"Yellow-gold. Expansive, fragrant bouquet of honey, tropical fruits, spicecake and dried flowers. Lush, creamy and gently smoky, with flavors similar to the aromas and late notes of minerals and citrus zest adding clarity and cut. Fully mature Champagne with very good finishing thrust and lingering smokiness." - Josh Raynolds (Nov/Dec '10)
