About This Wine:
Young, lively color, moderately intense, bright lemon yellow with pistachio green hints, a flash of silver, delicately velvety and silky in appearance.

Attractive, agreeable bouquet, not too forward, aromatic, perfumed, nicely elegant and refined.
Mainly floral aromas of fresh rose, jasmine, reseda, lily, freesia, primrose, with passion fruit, mango and pear.

The mouth is filled with aromas that are generous, yet still soft and suave to flatter and charm the palate. It is almost dry, with an elegant finish that is crisp and refreshing.

A wine to enjoy now while it is young and its varietal qualities are clearly defined.
Ideal as an aperitif, or at any time, to share an agreeable moment with friends. Serve at 8°C.

Serve with cheese : munster, auvergne blue, stilton, aged goat's cheese, also with lightly spiced, tasty dishes, Chinese, Moroccan, Indian, and with fruit based cakes and desserts

Ratings & Reviews

93 Points - James Suckling:
"Excellent dried-citrus, spice and dried-mango character. Full, powerful, focused and pinpointed. Drink now." - (December 22, 2016)

90 Points - Wine Enthusiast Magazine:
"Hints of rosewater and Turkish Delight waft from the glass. More toned down, the palate shines with citric freshness. There is quite a bit of warmth that seems to intensify the floral peach notes even more. It's very aromatic and varietally true, with a tropical finish of passion fruit." - Anne Krebiehl MW (11/1/2016)

89+ Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous:
Bright yellow. Classic aromas of grapefruit, smoked beef and sweet spices. Vivid, precise and fruity, preserving noteworthy freshness in light of what can best be described as enamel-shattering acidity. Very well balanced on the dry, long finish. A major success for Gewürz in 2014."- Ian D'Agata (Mar 2017)

Wine Spectator Magazine:
Hints of beeswax and orange blossom herald this dry and balanced Gewürztraminer. A smoky underpinning accents the pink grapefruit granita and white pepper notes. Drink now through 2020. 3,500 cases made." - AN (Web Only - 2017)
