Notes From The Winemaker:

Extra bright cherry aromas with a touch of tea. Bursting with rich, ripe black cherry fruit accented by baking spices and sweet oak high-lights. Intense without being heavy. One of the sexiest Garys' we've ever made. - Brian & Kimberly Loring

Best of the California Pinots at 3/5/11 tasting February 16, 2013
Reviewer: Walter Battistella from Sunnyvale, CA United States
Attended the Burgundy/Pinot Noir shoot-out on 3/5/2011.  My wife and I both thought that this was the best California Pinot Noir of the bunch.  It had the fruit forward flavors and bouquet typical of California Pinots but with complexity to back up the fruit.  There was a lot of structure in the wine and needs decanting to be drunk right away.  After some airing in the glass, the bouquet became more complex with cherry, plum and some spice.  The flavors also became more pronounced with a blend of cherry and other berries as well as some minerals.  The rest of the California Pinots just could not could not compete with the Loring.  They were full of fruit without any other characteristic to carry them through.
