Ratings & Reviews

90 Points - California Grapevine (2008 vintage):
"Medium-dark ruby with purplish tinges; attractive, intense, briary, very ripe black cherry and blackberry fruit aroma with hints of milk chocolate; full body; big, intense, jammy, peppery, brambly, concentrated, mouth-filling, very ripe berry fruit flavors; medium-full to full tannin; lingering aftertaste. Very highly recommended. 14.6% alcohol; 3,580 cases; 100% Zinfandel; released April 2010." - Nicholas Ponomareff (04-2010)

91 Points -
Wine Spectator Magazine (2007 vintage):
"Complex and zesty, offering a distinctive sense of place. Lively wild raspberry and spicy dill aromas open to crisp, layered and supple stewed plum, licorice and coconut-tinged oak flavors. The tannins are appealingly rustic. Drink now through 2014. 3,750 cases made." -TF (Web 2009)

90 Points & One Puff - Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (2007 vintage):
"If as usual among the more forward and accessible of the many Ridge Zinfandels, the Dusi Vineyard bottling is, in this vintage, a bit deeper in fruit and better balanced than is often the case. It is loaded with well-defined and juicy berry-like fruit and is more rounded in feel than it is soft, and its carefully fit acids lend a nice lift to its lingering finish, and, while it can comfortably hold for a couple of years, it is a tasty drink now perfectly matched to sundry barbecued fare."
