Notes from the Winemaker:

Intense and deep carmine red. Aromas of wild berries such as currants and blueberries dominate. Ripe figs and spicy notes are also presented. French oak barrel aging provides tobacco and smoky notes. Wide and refined. Delicate present tannins and seductive acidity. It is a lasting and elegant wine.

Vintage Notes:
The 2009 vintage is considered an "ideal" and classic-profiled one, typical of a gentle climate like in Mendoza. The season determined a long and hot cycle, giving wines exhibiting great typicity, ripeness and strength.

Vinification:
1. Hand-harvesting of the berries.
2. Cluster and berries selection, gravity feeding of fermentation tanks.
3. Alcoholic fermentation with selected and natural yeasts. Soft maceration for an average of 30 days, combining pigeageand delestage.
4. Aging in new French oak barrels for 18 -20 months. Periodic racking of wine in barrels to achieve clarity and brightness without need for filtration.
5. Bottling and prolonged aging in bottle for a minimum period of 12 months.

Ratings & Reviews
93 Points - James Suckling:
"Focused and powerful with beautiful density and power. Full-bodied, dense and tight. It opens and goes long. Rich style. Drink or hold." - (June 21, 2017)

92 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2013 Single Vineyard Los Aromos Cabernet Sauvignon is consistent with the line marked by the 2010 with a classical profile combining elegance and power and judicious use of oak. The palate revealed fine tannins, good acidity (but could do with a little more), harmonious and with a fresh, varietal finish. 15,000 bottles produced." - Luis Gutiérrez (30th Dec 2016)

91 Points - Antonio Galloni's Vinous:
" (15% alcohol; from 40-year-old vines on rocky soil): Full medium ruby. Crushed cassis, blackberry, licorice, menthol and bitter chocolate aromas are lifted by violet and black pepper. A suave, inviting combo of lively dark berry fruit, thick texture, firm acidity and sexy bitter-chocolate oak. Firmly built but more pliant and inviting than the 2012 was last year. Fine-grained tannins dust the front teeth on the lightly peppery finish. A sexy sweetness makes this structured, delineated Cabernet very attractive already but it has the spine and length for mid-term aging. This wine is more intense than the single-vineyard Malbec and makes that wine seem a touch dry by comparison." - Stephen Tanzer (Jul 2017)
