Tasting Notes

The Titus Cab is made in a traditional Bordeaux style blend and is what our estate is all about. This bright and complex   Cabernet Sauvignon shows intense bing cherry and blueberry that integrate seamlessly with notes of coffee, chocolate and sweet tobacco through the long finish. Savor this wine with good company.

Wine Profile

Our 2007 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has a shimmering, intense purple and ruby color. The nose is alluring and complex with aromas of black cherry, blueberry, lavender, currant, apple, sweet basil leaf and exotic notes of toasted chocolate, crème Brule and oak spice. The mouth-feel is full-bodied and rich with well integrated, fine grain tannins give way to lush, juicy flavors of blackberry and blueberry accompanied by dark chocolate, and anise. The finish is long and velvety with sweet cherry, clove spice, tobacco and pencil shavings. Recommended drinking time is five to ten years from vintage. Maximum suggested aging is fifteen years from vintage.

Ratings & Reviews

Wine Spectator Magazine:
"Intense and a tad rustic, offering drying, chewy tannins that have a leathery edge. This delivers dried currant, black licorice and graphite on a full body, remaining dry and minerally on the finish. Decant for now. Drink now through 2018. 4,448 cases made." –JL (9/30/2010)

Wine Enthusiast Magazine:

"A good Cabernet, with pleasantly ripe blackberry, cherry and currant flavors, as well as a nice coating of sweet oak. Feels a little rugged in the mouth, with some edgy tannins. Give it a couple hours of decanting before service."  - S.H.  (10/1/2010)

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"An attractive, elegant effort, the medium dark ruby-hued 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon possesses cedar and spice notes as well as medium body. Its mid-palate is slightly lacking and the finish is somewhat short, but it should offer pleasant drinking over the next 6-8 years.

Titus Vineyards- consistently reliable wines are well worth seeking out." - Robert Parker (Dec 2010)
