Notes from the Winemaker:

The strength of this golden-yellow wine is immediately pleasing to the nose while its complexity explodes on the palate. The initial notes of fruit are followed by more discreet aromas of brioche and vanilla when the wine is allowed to age in the bottle. Brut Carte Jaune offers a perfect balance of finesse and forcefulness.

Grapes from 50 to 60 different crus, or growing areas, are used to produce the Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label :

50 to 55% Pinot Noir ensures the structure so typical of the House wines.
15 to 20% Pinot Meunier rounds out the blend.
28 à 33% Chardonnay provides the elegance and sophistication essential to a perfectly balanced wine.

A high proportion of priceless reserve wines (between 25% and 40%) ensures the continuity of the House style.

What Does It Taste Like? / Acclaim:

90 Points - Wine Spectator Magazine:

"This is tightly knit and racy, with a spicy underpinning and a clean-cut mix of poached pear, grated ginger and pink grapefruit zest. An aperitif style, showing a crisp, lacy finish. Drink now." - AN (Nov 15, 2017)
90 Points - Wine Enthusiast
"One of the most familiar of Champagnes, the Yellow Label is finely made—a fruity while structured wine. It has both fresh and fragrant fruit as well as richness, a soft, creamy texture and bright acidity. There is no sense in bottle aging here—drink this wine because of its crispness."-Roger Voss (12/1/13)
