Producer: Frédérick & Daniel Brunier
Founded: 1998
Annual Production: 6,500 cases

Vignobles Brunier embodies the ensemble of the holdings by the Brunier family, notably Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe, Domaine La Roquète, Domaine Les Pallières (along with Kermit), and Le Pigeoulet des Brunier. (Click on each domaine name for more specific information.) Vignobles Brunier came to be by brothers Frédéric and Daniel Brunier, the fourth generation of their family to farm the land of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The brothers have worked hard to solidify the legacy left by their father, Henri, and their grandfather, Hippolyte. They have brought their intricate knowledge of the various terroirs of the Southern Rhône to new heights through the expansion of the holdings. Their properties represent a vast variation of soil types, climatic conditions, and grape varietals.

Ratings / Reviews:

92-93 Points - James Suckling:
"Super plush, opulent, sweet red-plum, raspberry-compote and darker blackberry notes. The palate is bathed in mixed-berry flavor and some dark-mineral notes. Really supple, then turning fine and tightening through the finish. Noble tannins. 80 per cent grenache and 20 per cent syrah." - (6 Jul, 2018)

90 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"From the Brunier family of Domaine du Vieux Telegraphe, the 2017 Ventoux is a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah, grown on a five-hectare parcel. This medium to full-bodied wine is rich and earthy, with black cherry fruit underscored by dried spices. It should drink well for several years." - Joe Czerwinski (31st Oct 2018)

88-91 Points - Jeb Dunnuck:
"A mix of Grenache and Syrah, the 2017 Ventoux Megaphone offers more depth and richness, as well as structure, over the Pigeoulet. Black raspberries, garrigue, crushed rocks/salty minerality, and licorice notes all flow to a medium-bodied, ripe, concentrated wine that has good acidity, notable tannins, and a good finish. It's going to benefit from 6-12 months of bottle, and while I don’t see any need to age this beyond that, I wouldn't be surprised to see this keep for upward of a decade." - Jeb Dunnuck (8/28/2018)
