90 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"There is also a red blend, the 2017 Vinos Fríos del Año Tinto, which is 45% Malbec, 35% Cariñena and 20% Tempranillo. The blend is different this year, now without Carmenère from vines in the south of Curicó. It's produced in a light, fresh style, with notes of beeswax and wild berries. The idea here is to produce an easy-to-drink red with lowish alcohol and good acidity (11.5% alcohol and a pH of 3.48 after malolactic); it fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel and was bottled unoaked. It's refreshing, clean and really pleasant, with focused flavors, fluid and tasty. 6,000 bottles were filled in December 2017." - Luis Gutiérrez (31st Oct 2018)

"An alluring nose of Kenya AA coffee and bittersweet cocoa, with polished, racy notes of black currant, fig and loam on the palate. The long, fine-grained finish has a nice minerally spine. 94 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate:
"The 2011 Montes Alpha M is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with some Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. 2011 was a bit cooler than 2010, and the wine might have more edges, and a little higher acidity. I find better balance in this 2011 compared with the 2010, with nerve and acidity, volume and great balance. The nose is still closed, less expressive and benefits from air, but there is a greater sense of harmony and integration, and I think in the long run it will be a better wine. This is a classic. Drink 2015-2027." - Luis Gutierrez (Jun 2014)

95 Points & #10 Top 100 Wines of 2019 - Wine Spectator:
"Jointly owned by Bordeaux’s Château Mouton-Rothschild and Chile’s Concha y Toro, Almaviva is an elegant Bordeaux-style red blend. Based on Cabernet Sauvignon, with 24 percent of the distinctive red grape Carmenère in the mix, the 2016 marks the 20th anniversary of this perennial top-scorer. The 150-acre Puente Alto estate lies just south of Chile’s capital of Santiago and is filled with gravels and clays washed down from the towering Andes, which rise to the east; the Carmenère is sourced from the famed Peumo vineyard in the Cachapoal Valley farther south. Winemaker Michel Friou aged the wine 16 months in new French oak.

Tasting Note: Elegant, powerful and well-structured, with a refined mix of dark fruit, dried red fruit and spice flavors. Dried herbal notes emerge midpalate, with a minerally finish that is long and rich-tasting. Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2025." — Kim Marcus (May 31, 2019)
